Ashley + Jeff knew what they wanted when it came to their big day. It had to incorporate their fave things, feel like a natural extension of their every day lives, and celebrate style + good design. Because they had a pretty detailed vision, it was imperative to find the right team to execute their ideas. Below, Ashley shares more with us about their stunning celebration + their creative collaboration with some of the very best in the biz:
We wanted to incorporate things that projected who we were, both individually and as a couple. We envisioned eclectic details, pour-over coffee and craft cocktails… things that were all very “us”. I have a leatherworking business (check it out here – Woodlark!), so I knew I wanted to use natural materials like wood, leather and raw textiles. Most importantly, we wanted the intimate vibe of a small wedding, despite our larger guest list. We fell in love with The Fig House because it had a mid-century charm we both appreciate. Tori and her team from Sitting in a Tree were absolutely fantastic, and they translated our vision into something really incredible.
Thanks so much to Studio Castillero for the absolutely gorgeous images and congrats to Ashley + Jeff on a perfect day!
It would have to be our first look. I remember exactly how I felt beforehand- so nervous and full of anticipation. When he turned around, my heart just about melted. It was so incredibly intimate and is something I will remember forever. All of my nerves were gone after that.
Dy-ing over that woodsy bouquet by Shotgun Floral. Not symmetrical? Not a problem!
Adoring this bridal look? We’ve got the deets. Ashley’s wedding dress was by Hayley Paige, her veil by Tessa Kim, her shoes were Christian Louboutin + her reception headpiece (below) was by Danani.
Loving the mid-cent-mod feel to the space!
Isn’t this a super creative art installment?!
You can see so much more in A + J’s wedding video below by Aquavivus:
Prioritize aspects of the wedding that are most important to you and tackle those first. A quality team of vendors makes all the difference. Trust them with your vision and let them do what they do best. Invest in a good photographer: someone who will blend in with your guests, that you feel comfortable with, and who’s aesthetic you like. The day will be over in an instant and you’ll be relying on them to capture all the moments that you may have missed.

Does anyone know the church that this couple used? I am having my wedding at the Fig House next year and was thinking about having the ceremony somewhere else.
