From Sunrise to Sunset: A Stunning Elopement in Yosemite National Park

Sunrise Yosemite Elopement

When Emily and Brian started planning their wedding, they intended for it to include over 200+ people. However, during the process of planning, they started to realize that they longed for a feeling that couldn’t be found when including that many people… So instead, they decided to sneak away to Yosemite National Park to elope!

Here’s their photographer, Anni Graham, with a bit more: As artists themselves, they planned the entire day around the best lighting, a sunrise first look in a meadow with Half Dome towering in the background, a sweet and emotional little ceremony in the woods by Cathedral Beach, just as the sun came through the trees, and then a hike out to Taft Point for an epic sunset that was even more magnified by some nearby forest fires.

Let’s frolic through the fields + into the forest, shall we?

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Our first look! The sun was rising and it was barely 30 degrees. The meadow was icy and I was in the world’s most comfortable but also the most thinnest wedding dress, yet I remember somehow just feeling so warm being there with Brian.

What better way to say you vows, than framed by the beauty of nature?

One of the best things about eloping is simply being able to have the day for yourself without having to worry about anyone else.

Yosemite doesn’t allow invasive species such as non-native flowers into the park, so Emily had an amazing faux bouquet and flower crown!

Emily rocked a Grace Loves Lace dress that was easy to hike in, and stylish (comfy) sandals. Brian had a hard time finding his vision for a tweed suit, and ended up having it custom-made!
