What do alpacas, three fluffy dogs, Southwestern colors, macramé, pampas grass and a bouncy castle have in common?? They’re the adorable details from Lily + David’s bright, boho wedding at Los Poblanos Historic Inn and Organic Farm. With the help of wedding designers, For the Love Events, L + D took their already gorgeous venue and transformed it into a bohemian paradise unlike any other!
L shares about their design inspiration:
We got married on a lavender farm with some of the most amazing historical buildings designed by Santa Fe architecture John Gaw Meem. We wanted to elevate this beautiful property by bringing in a bohemian garden vibe and a fresh palette of earth tone and bright colors. You’ll see in our paper goods, furniture rentals, table settings beautiful earth tone and blush pink colors! For our ceremony, we had a tipi macrame arch with a rustic boho rug and bamboo chairs. We also lined the aisles with native grass in seagrass baskets.
Vienna Glenn was there to capture every beautiful detail! Let’s take a look!
Muted Southwestern Color Palette

L is a designer for a home decor shop, so you know she has great taste. She takes a lot of her inspiration from the Southwest and used those dusty but bright tones as their color palette inspiration. You can see the beige, blush, gold and terracotta tones in this modern Funky Olive invitation suite.

The Happy Family

Our Favorite Memory
-Getting to see all of our family and friends as 75% of our guests traveled from all around the country, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Australia to celebrate our big day.
-Having our furry dogs in the ceremony, which they did surprisingly well. They even barked in joy during the recessional!
-Performing our surprise first dance sequence and seeing everyone smile because they didn't see it coming.
-Also, surprising our guests with a unicorn bouncy house and a cotton candy machine.
Lounge Area with Southwestern Inspiration

An outdoor wedding MUST have a rad lounge area! We’re loving the warm and spicy Southwestern colors and mixed textiles like velvet, and leather. This would make us want to grab a drink and enjoy the rest of the evening!
Garden Reception

Love smudge sticks as wedding favors!!

Look at the attention to detail that L + D brought to each place setting! Terracotta chargers, matte gold flatware, velvet napkins and smudge stick favors make a pretty picture!

Dyed palms + Dried florals + Succulents = a boho babe’s dream decor!!

Want to incorporate succulents or other plants into your day? The best part about that idea is that they make great wedding-to-home decor! You can find the best wedding-to-home plants here!

How rad were L + D’s reception rentals?? The bamboo seats and other furniture rentals are from Rust Vintage and linens are from La Tavola Fine Linen.

Our Advice
We know that it can be a bit of an investment, but we highly recommend bringing in a wedding planner to help execute your vision! It's worth it! It makes wedding planning less stressful and allows you to not worry so much about coordinating vendors and focus on the overall details and look + feel of your wedding. You get more time to think about ways to make your wedding more fun and special to you. Also, try and have a wedding style in mind before selecting your vendors that way you can find vendors that match your style + aesthetics and help create the wedding you want!

You can find us with the alpacas!

Los Poblanos Historic Inn and Organic Farm made this rustic-iced cake. It’s perfection with that lush cascade of flowers!!

Ok… L + D know how to throw a party! A unicorn bouncy castle HAS to be the most epic reception activity of all time!!

An absolutely stunning event! Lily + David, thank you for sharing your Southwestern- inspired, bohemian wedding with us! Congratulations from the GWS team!!
