What happens when you combine sleek city style with a classic Southern venue? You get an incredibly swoon-worthy wedding! Aly and Bobby celebrated their union in marriage with an early fall celebration at The Bradford in New Hill, North Carolina, and trusted The Gathering Co. to bring their vision to life.
We were inspired by a trip together to Menorca, Spain, where we stayed at a beautiful country estate, The Cugo Gran. Cugo Gran is a romantic country house with a serene ambiance that we wanted to recreate for our guests, stateside! The Bradford offers a similar feel and allows you to create an evening for guests that truly is an escape from reality.
With the help of some amazing vendors like Aurelia Baca Photography, Wylde Flowers, and many more, Aly and Bobby were able to have the wedding of their dreams!
The Border of North Carolina and Spain
Delicate blush tones set the scene for an airy and soft-toned wedding. Wax seals with a floral bouquet design are instantly reminiscent of the Spanish countryside.
Ok, we are loving these pink tye dye sweats for your ladies! So chic and definitely would wear these again!!
Let’s hop right into dress talk! For the wedding ceremony, Aly wore a jaw-dropping Monique Lhuillier gown with organza off-the-shoulder sleeves and a soft, romantic neckline.
My eyes immediately fell onto a puffy and floral sleeve billowing off of the rack, belonging to the one and only, Monique Lhuillier Bloom gown. It was such a unique dress and I absolutely had to try it on! As soon as I put the gown on I knew it was the one.
Who says bridesmaids can’t wear white?! Well…with the bride’s permission, of course! Aly’s bridesmaids wore the ultimate in cool-girl style with their mismatched white dresses. We love the look!
The groom looked as dapper as you could imagine in a classic black tux and velvet loafers. It’s the look that will never go out of style!
Falling in Love With Love
The couple (very smartly!) had their welcome signage also include the day’s order of events for guests to reference.

The indoor ceremony was kept sleek and minimalistic. A bare aisle and semi-covered floral arch kept guests’ eyes on the bride and groom throughout the duration of their vows.
These two have the ‘just married’ look written all over their faces!
The bride and groom were welcomed into their marriage with loving arms by their bridesmaids and groomsmen. We would all be so lucky to have people like this at our wedding!
Would you believe us if we told you it was raining just before this picture was taken? The weather was no match for Aly and Bobby’s wedding, which looked as stunning as we could imagine!
A Trendy Reception
A wedding lounge is one of our favorite elements to use to elevate a reception space. This chic setup featured pink chairs and a trendy arch for guests to enjoy.
Lit neutral candles and perfectly scrunched linen fabric instantly transported guests to Spain’s romantic countryside.
First, hire an amazing team and appreciate all of the hard work they put into making your dream day a reality! Second, don't be scared to be different. Add the little touches, have a birthday cake instead of a wedding cake, and throw on a disco headband if you feel like it! Don't be scared to be unique! Lastly and most importantly, have fun! This will be one of the best days of your lives, enjoy every moment of the process together!
Milk Bar’s famous birthday cake is one of the greatest food items ever created (if you know, you know!). There’s no reason to limit that deliciousness just to a birthday!
