Covid-19 couldn’t keep Marilyn + Daniel down. Just like so many others, the pandemic caused them to do a major pivot. They reduced the guest list, simplified their reception, but they also dialed up the glamour. And by “dialed up”, we mean they pulled out all the stops. Their photographer, Jeroen Noordzij, jokes that they looked like supermodels, walking the catwalk instead of the wedding aisle. Honestly, we couldn’t agree more! They’re showing you how to bring chic wedding dreams to life with ultra classy attire, elegant white flowers, and lots of candlelight set against the romantic backdrop of downtown Rotterdam in The Netherlands. The wedding took place mostly at the Sint Laurenskerk in Rotterdam. One of the most beautiful and amazing churches in the Netherlands. Compare it to a golden throne room, filled with love and joy. After entering the iconic steel doors you walk into a enormous hallway were a pathway was made with candles. After the amazing ceremony we had the time to shoot in the city centre of Rotterdam. The city hall and beautiful streets that will give you this luxury London / Paris feeling.. it was mind blowing.

A Grand Cathedral Ceremony
Somehow, M + D seem to effortlessly blend understated and WOW. For example, their simplistic floral arrangements are made up of only two flower varieties- peonies and delphinium- but the impact is huge!!
- The music. During the church ceremony Marilyn's brother in law gave a show with his saxophone which was just amazing. It went straight to the heart... And after that all of the sisters and brothers (Marilyn has 4 sisters and Daniel has 3 brothers) sang their longs out to celebrate M&D's wedding.
- The shoot. From the start I had a great connection with M&D. They were comfortable in front of the camera, which made me even more enthusiastic, which helped making the photos just magnificent. Everything worked.. The wide angle family shot with all brothers and sisters .. the shots with them around city hall. They looked like models.. And they didn't mind me shooting picture after picture, finding new places .. with probably the most iconic shot at the end of the day at the black and white wooden wall. I saw it .. I looked at them .. and they were like: ' hell yeah!'
