With simplicity + romance in mind, the team behind today’s gorgeous editorial (Birds + Honey Events + Maria Lamb Photography) set out to create a scene that would perfectly translate to the perfect intimate, bohemian wedding. With just one quick glance, we fell hard for the Rue De Seine dress from The Dress Theory, the lush, quixotic florals by Ponderosa & Thyme, the amazing updo by Renee Bruhn (featuring ribbon by Silk and Willow) and, well, everything else, too. This project definitely shows us a softer side to bohemian design + the Birds + Honey crew shares more about their ideas + process below:
I wanted to design a simple and more understated bohemian editorial. One that would be more focused on the actual flow and movement of the bride on her wedding day. So many times, we overpower the concept with props + decor, etc so I wanted to keep it minimal and pull elements from our beautiful venue and stunning designer gowns. This shoot truly encompasses a mix of ethereal softness and bold bohemian elements. I wanted to the color to be solely from the stunning bouquet and florals that Ponderosa & Thyme created. The end result was a simple yet meaningful with a palette that any bride could appreciate.
Imagine spending a relaxing morning on the wedding day, out enjoying nature and reflecting on what’s to come. A total luxury, right?! Of course, it’d be even better do this all in style and we adore the gorgeous bridal robe shown here by Lady Evelyn.
A simply perfect bohemian sweetheart table, featuring beautiful furniture pieces by Something Borrowed PDX.
The texture seen in both that dress + that bouquet make us pretty weak in the knees! So stunning!
