Here is our basic checklist to plan your dream elopement: the person you love, a gown you love, a team you love, and the place you love! Put ’em all together and watch the magic unfold. Blayke filled in the blanks with her guy, Sam, a long-sleeved lace dress, and designers, Julia & Evita, for a dreamy Santorini wedding! When the day came, it was nothing but movie-quality romance.
When we finally decided to elope, I wanted to go to the most romantic place in the entire world. We chose Santorini! Since it was just the two of us, I didn’t want to leave out any details. Our planners, Julia & Evita, perfectly captured the edgy, romantic, bohemian vibe we wanted. I worked with them for about 6 months prior. They took our vision and created flower arrangements + installations that blew our minds. It was exactly what we wanted and more!
To capture every sweet memory, B + S called on the husband + wife photo duo behind Lighthouse. Off we go to Santorini!
The prettiest pampas grass bouquet by RedBox Days (featuring black pampas grass!) was a delightful beginning to the day!
Ceremony Over Santorini
For the ceremony backdrop, Julia & Evita designed a wooden construction for single pampas grass stems flanked by two arrangements of roses, carnations, and babies breath.
Our Favorite Memory
I vividly remember walking out to my handsome groom in front of the set up overlooking the sea and cliffs, thinking that what we were doing was perfect. Absolutely perfect. We read our vows and were both very emotional throughout. It was the sweetest memory!

Our Advice
Don't skimp on the details and hire a planner. I promise that if you are eloping you will remember everything, so don't leave out any details. Julia & Evita perfectly captured what I wanted our wedding day to evoke.
Hire a photographer who captures the emotion from the day. Teo from Lighthouse Photography was amazing. Our wedding photos still make me cry almost every time I look at them.
Write your own vows! It's just the two of you and it made our day that much more special.
Boho Reception with a View
The private dinner was one of Blayke + Sam’s favorite parts of the day. A perfect sunset was the backdrop to a gorgeous dinner, just the two of them.
Julia & Evita continued the pampas grass decor into the reception with a layer of pampas grass + twinkle lights situated under a sheet of glass. They wrote lyrics to the couple’s first dance at their place settings for a fun surprise detail!
The setup and sunset were unreal and I have never been in a more romantic setting in my life. It really felt like we were in a movie. Sam and I were able to take it all in over our private dinner and it’s still one of my favorites memories from our wedding day.
Blayke tells us that it wasn’t an easy decision to elope, but it’s absolutely one they’ll never regret. Such a special time and memory for these two. We wish them all the best to come!
