Galen + Mackenzie fell in love in the mountains and got engaged in the mountains, so when it came time to set the stage for their wedding, choosing the White Mountains of New Hampshire was a no-brainer. Surrounded by all of their favorite people, G + M were married at The Toad Hill Farm in Franconia, New Hampshire. Local legends actually credit this spot as the inspiration for Robert Frost’s poem “The Road Not Taken.” On a day that featured every kind of weather; from hailstorms to rainbows, G + M’s wedding was a stylish, emotional ride!

The mountainous love mounts up! Mackenzie pulled the mountain range design from their stationery suite and Galen’s wedding band, and had it tattooed on her forearm.

Mackenzie’s Rue De Seine dress from Ceremony bridal is a folky bohemian dream, with delicate embroidery details on chic, white mesh.
Let’s talk about how Mackenzie and her bridesmaids nailed the autumnal jewel tone vibe! Lush bouquets of dahlias & fall foliage mixed with the varying dress textures made for an on-theme, fashion-forward look.

What a fall color palette! Mackenzie makes a striking, scenic bridal entry.
The ceremony sat high upon a hill, featuring vintage rugs, long bench seating, and geometric wood slat panels crafted by the bride herself. Talk about a bridal DIY boss babe!
Quite possibly when Galen started his vows. To set the stage, the weather was wild, it snowed, it sleeted, it rained…and the moment the ceremony started the clouds parted and created this epic moody stage of sunshine. Get Galen or myself talking about how much we love each other and the tears will flow – put us in front of all of our loved ones and confess our honest to goodness love for one another and game over. The second he started his vows we both knew it would be straight waterworks. That was until our officiant paused for a breather and proceeded to pull out a handkerchief and make him blow. Everyone howled, it was the perfect comedic icebreaker for all.
In light of the unpredictable weather from all ends of the spectrum, G + M couldn’t have been more focused on each other when exchanging their written vows. And a sweet, emotional recessional for the newlyweds!
How magical is the autumn treelined forest that directly parallels G + M’s expertly-styled bridal party? Magical.
Safari Tent Reception
G + M had these stylish safari tents pitched along the hillside for guests to cozy into. Each tent was stocked with monochrome boho pillows, fur throws, velvet seating and soft candlelight. Please pass the spiked cider!
In addition to the spiked cider and hot toddies, G + M’s reception included swinging lounge chairs, a table of homemade cookies and a wood fired pizza truck.

Eyes on the prize! Yes, there are so many details and decisions for weddings that can seem like a lot. At the end of the day, all your loved ones are coming together to celebrate your love for one another – so show them, show it off, and take every ounce of it in.
Jaime Melfi of Autumn Nomad blows us away, yet again, with this super funky boho cake swing, suspended from an arbor of fresh wild flowers + greenery. To top it off, literally, is a pumpkin caramel cake with hand stenciling on fondant. WOW!
This boho mountain wedding gives us stylish folky vibes for days, and we’re ready to welcome autumn in with open arms. Congrats Galen + Mackenzie!
