Today’s bride, Alyssa Marie, is a wedding photographer — so she knows a thing or two about gorgeous details + beautiful ceremonies. She + Collin share a great love for the outdoors and camping, so when it came time to say their vows, they couldn’t think of a better place than the California Redwoods. Alyssa shares: We found the perfect location — Camp Campbell in Boulder Creek — that was close enough to travel to, but far enough to feel like a mini trip for our guests. We spent the weekend camping and kept things jam packed with hiking, softball games and campfire fun!
As a wedding photographer, I’ve worked with so many vendors and it was very important to me to have all my closest/favorite vendors as part of the big day. With the help of designer + planner Samantha Dapper Events, I trusted the whole team entirely to bring my bronze + peach + copper wedding vision to life… And boy, did they succeed!

Our Favorite Memory
Other than getting married of course, our first look! It was such a great feeling to see him before the crazy long day began. Having that little moment of quiet together to let all our emotions and nerves out was such an incredible moment. Also, there was something special about seeing each other for the first time at our tent, the exact spot where the night would later come to an end.
Isn’t that Flora ‘Melanie’ Gown from The Dress Theory gorgeous?! The way the lace bodice complements her figure and how the skirt just flows…
Best dressed groom + groomsmen ALERT! We’re diggin’ Collin’s ensemble from Suitsupply + those Cole Haan kicks.
Oh, and those super cool floral ties for his groomsmen? They’re from My Tie Shop!
What a mighty fine group of gorgeous ladies! Those sandy-hued off-the-shoulder gowns are from Show Me Your Mumu.
For the florals, Shindig Chic crafted a bouquet brimming with peachy pink + tea-colored carnations, daisies, blossoming roses, astilbe, and thistle — and rounded the whole thing out with wild greenery.

As the wedding was held out in the woods, A+C wanted to bring a slight “summer camp” twist to their details — so they created camp flag banners.

What’s more fun that a photo booth bus?
Macramé pieces were incorporated throughout — from the seating chart to the table runner.
To complement all the beauty of the surroundings, the team incorporated greenery runners to mimic the thick forest… And in case you didn’t notice it, A+C’s seriously cool cake crafted by The Sweetest Couple is coated in a layer of edible copper leaf! So cool!
Our Advice
Enjoy the wedding planning process and all it has to offer but the morning of your wedding, wake up and leave it in the sky! Your wedding day is going to pan out the way it is supposed to. Your only focus should be to soak up every little moment and marrying your person!
