As soon as Suzanne + Justin set foot on the naturally beautiful grounds of Pie Ranch in Pescadero, CA, they knew it would be the perfect setting to host their charming, handmade farm wedding! By making a lot of the decor themselves + bringing in just a few vintage-inspired elements, they were able to craft a fun-filled day that truly embraced the two of them + the things they love most . Here’s a bit more from Suzanne about one of their favorite projects:
Our biggest DIY project was the wedding arch, which Justin and I made together. We purchased the wood, sanded, constructed and stained it. We also purchased the fabric, which our florist later secured with flowers and leather that I had purchased for the bouquets and bouts. It really tied everything together and provided an incredible backdrop for our ceremony! Afterwards, we donated the arch to Pie Ranch and salvaged the air plants and succulents for our home.
Big thanks to Caroline+Ben Photography for the lovely images and congrats to Suzanne + Justin!
Love that Suzanne + her bridesmaid’s all wore boots!

It's so tough to pinpoint because the whole day was filled with smiles, laughter and love. If I had to choose one moment, it was the ceremony. Standing up at the arch, with the love of my life just beaming at each other.....with all of our friends and family around us, celebrating our love and commitment to each other, you just can't top that! It was especially amazing when the sun began to shine right when we were saying our vows. Truly a magical moment.
So in love with that gorgeous BHLDN capelet Suzanne is wearing!

Everything they say is true! The day goes by in the blink of an eye. Be prepared and have things lined up by Thursday. I made sure everything was done - drop offs, pickups, tips, confirmations, everything! So that on Friday, when your guests start arriving for the rehearsal, you can really just begin to enjoy your weekend! Having a tight timeline ahead of time, gave us the opportunity to spend time visiting with our friends and family and not stressing about things that still needed to be done. Enjoy every minute!
