Mint + gold is forever one of our fave color combos. The mix feels like it was practically invented to be one of the sweetest-ever wedding palettes. Olivia + Greg thought mint would be a perfect color component to match the abundance of succulents they knew they wanted to incorporate into their day. Says Olivia, I LOVE succulents, so of course we had succulents EVERYWHERE! But their styling plans didn’t just stop there. We also wanted to add a pop of glam to spice things up — that’s where the gold came in! We just love it when a color palette can hatch all of the other choices and design elements for your day. For couples who may find themselves all over the map stylistically – inspired by a bunch of different ideas – picking colors just may be the perfect place for you to start your wedding planning journey!
Olivia tells us, Our inspiration was ourselves. We wanted our wedding to be completely about us, what we love and what we believe. We really wanted to add a little bit of everything about us, to our day. We are very outdoorsy folks, so we knew that getting married inside, was not an option for us. We wanted an outside wedding – rain or shine! And it rained :) – with that sweet barn reception!
Such a sweet first look by the venue’s pond!
We adore both Olivia + Greg’s wedding day attire! Shop their looks – and whole pretty day – in our Rustic Mint + Gold shopping guide below!

Such great bouquets by Belovely Florals and Event Design!
What a sweet father-daughter moment! A little fun never hurt, right?!
Processional: Crash –Dave Matthews Band (Performed live by Silverlake String Quartet)
Recessional: Good Life – OneRepublic
First Dance: This Winter – Cass Lowe
Pennsylvania’s The Rodale Institute proved to be the perfect spot to celebrate. A sprawling, pretty patch of land complete with a great, old barn just begging to be dressed up in – you guessed it – mint + gold!
We are head over heels for Olivia + Greg’s thoughtfully detailed sweetheart table set up – and love that their yarn backdrop was inspired by one of our fave (and most crafty) GWS features!
The most memorable moment of our day was our First Dance. We danced to Cass Lowe, This Winter. I’m sure you’ve never heard of this song before, but this was the first song that Greg had shared with me, back while we were “just friends”. Little did we know and come to realize, later on, that we had both listened to this song, thinking about one another through the long distance relationship we had. Our first dance was THE most amazing part of our entire wedding. It gave us a time to completely blank out everyone else at our wedding and focus on one another and truly take in the moment that we just shared our vows, and are now husband and wife. It was super emotional for the both of us and we will cherish that moment forever.
And don’t miss Olivia + Greg’s sweet wedding film by East West Productions!
Enjoy every moment of it! I’ll be honest and say 9 times out of 10 I was pretty stressed about all the details and making sure everything came together. But in reality, I had to let some things go and just relax and know that at the end of the day, Greg and I were getting married and that was the real priority!

What a beautiful wedding. I love that chevron wooden background for their ceremony.
Beautiful wedding! Your decor was outstanding! I was wondering, the embroidery hoops, did you do those yourself? If so, is there a website or something to help with the steps? Thanks! And congratulations to your and your husband!!

Absolute favourite colour pallette! Divine
The chevron pallet wall at the ceremony is amazing. I also love the groom’s plaid shirt, bow tie, and brown vest. Everything fit the rustic vibe so well.
