The French seem how to instinctively know how to host a celebration that is impossibly chic, but feels fun + effortless at the same time. Iris + Edouard, and their gorgeous, rustic French countryside wedding, prove that that statement is wholeheartedly true. These self-described foodies started the planning process by setting priorities for the day. It comes as no surprise that food topped their list as most important and they tested out many caterers and pastry chefs until their menu felt just right. Fashion was next in line + we were all sorts of envious when we heard Edouard bought his Hugo Boss suit on the Champs Elysées and Iris found her gorgeous dress at Pronovias in Toulouse. Sounds the dreamiest, right? Let’s hear just a bit more about what inspired such a beautiful day, then it’s onto the super lovely images captured by Yann of Lifestories Wedding Photography…
From Iris, Edouard  and I are French foodistas, until lately Parisians and now we live in the south of France. We met in college and instantly fell in love. We live the same way, we like the same simple thing that life offers: To eat, travel, see our friends, cook…When it came to decide where to marry, we though about the region Charentes, as Edouard has family there and some history (his grandfather was an archeologist). This countryside is so beautiful! We found le “Château de la Tranchade” as the perfect place, rustic chic, as we wanted.Â
We majorly love the lace sleeves on Iris’ dress! So classically beautiful.
Magali (of Gali M) is an artist! She took care of the beautiful, poetic flower arrangements, from the church to the reception room, all by herself!
We SO love the wedding party’s look! Shades of coral and tangerine for the ladies + mint pants, bow ties and navy blazers for the fellas!
You can snag these tasseled giant balloons in the GWS shop!
GWS is THE website where I found so many inspirations to imagine the perfect decor for our wedding! Since January I began to make all the little elements of decor as the board with envelopes for the love notes, the ribbons with escort cards, the pompoms for the ceiling of the reception room etc. I also bought many tattoos and bubbles for my friends to have fun..and looking at the pictures it worked! :)
And don’t miss seeing more in the beautiful film by Vincent of Lifestories Wedding Photography!
Our wedding was a dream day, everything was perfect, even the storm which made amazing pictures! We wanted something that looked like us, that everyone would have fun and remember this weekend and all the compliments and love messages we got mean that we were right to listen to our heart speak! We love each other more than anything, we love our people and we loved our wedding so much! We are already thinking about the renewal of our vows in a few year for a new party like that!
Big congrats, Iris +Â Edouard! And thanks so much for sharing your beautiful day with us!

Beautiful wedding! Love the mint pants and the bridesmaids in different coral hues. And, the flower girl dresses are adorable. I can’t stop looking at the lace top added onto her wedding dress!
such a beautiful looking ceremony. Your wedding dress is completely stunning.
Beautiful!
Wow, the wedding video gave me goosebumps. This is the most gorgeous and heartfelt wedding feature I’ve seen on GWS in ages.
Amazing work! That venue looks awesome.
So many stunning details: a lovely bride’s dress, the best men’s suits, such a creative flower decor.
This rustic venue charms from the first sight. I am pretty sure this wasn’t the big day just for the couple, but for their guests, too.
