Even though this weekend felt more like summer here in LA, it is technically fall and I just love these sweet fall ideas Live View Studios are sharing with us today. Inspired by the autumn colors and foliage, they used lots of nautral materials in the shoot including leaves, feathers and wood. Burlap and colorful plaid were used as the fabrics of choice in various details and also brought all of the colors together. This is such an easily attainable look for any bride who wants a creative, whimsical, and rustic fall wedding – and the best part is that it’s relatively inexpensive.
After spotting this leaf flower tutorial on Design Sponge awhile back, they knew they wanted to incorporated that idea into the bride’s bouquet (and such a great way to save money on flowers for you fall brides!) Her bridal headpiece was also made using only fall tree leaves. The groom’s boutonniere was constructed entirely out of wrapped leaves combined with feathers, sticks, other autumn foliage, and golden ferns. The grooms suit was blue felt (love!), and the bride’s dress was an upcycled vintage wedding dress (found for $4 in a thrift store!) that was slightly modernized with a floral neckline.
Glass votive candle holders were wrapped in fall leaves and tied with twine, and purple candles were displayed in candleholders constructed out of pine logs. The food elements included a rustic pumpkin spice cake with a heart-cut leaf on top (and they can vouch that it’s quite tasty!), pumpkin pie tart bites, apple pie baked in a cast iron skillet and apple cider served in hollowed apples with cinnamon stir sticks.
The favors were pumpkin spice popcorn served in brown paper bags – yummy + affordable!
