Puglia, Italy is the site of one of the very first trips bride Kaamila + groom Oliver ever took together. For these two, the southern Italian region is packed full of romantic memories. So when it came time to plan their “I do’s,” they couldn’t think of a more meaningful spot to gather their friends and family for the big day.
Destination weddings might seem like an escape, but they’re not always safe from typical wedding day surprises. The two chose the beautiful Amatsuola as their venue, a masseria or farmhouse in the commune of Crispiano. Despite a romantic plan to be married outside in Amatsuola’s olive orchard with dinner and dancing under the stars, stormy skies showed up the day of Kaamila + Oliver’s festivities. But, like the savvy travelers they are, this couple changed gears and brought their refined yet relaxed celebration indoors.
With the help of their planner Victoria of Impression Villas and Weddings and the team at their venue, this intimate and elegant Italian wedding stayed safe and dry.
Photographer Yulia Longo captured the rainy, romantic day as it unfolded.
An Italian Romance

Seriously lush and delicate florals by Rollo Fiori.

How gorgeous is Kaamila’s bridal mehndi?!

Stealing a quick, blindfolded minute together before it all.
Wedded in White

Both Kaamila and Oliver embraced a pristine, white look for their wedding day. Can’t get enough of this dreamy, overcast moment.

When the sun peeks out for just a second.

Kaamila’s stunning off-the-shoulder gown captured the chic-yet-festive spirit of the day. And that gorgeous, full, tulle overskirt was removable to reveal a mermaid silhouette for the reception!

Love to see a bridal party all in white. Look at the way those mellow-but-colorful florals pop!

A Chic Ceremony

Baby’s breath and pampas grass really bringing rustic yet elegant texture.

Our Musical Choices Processional: "Canon in D" by Johann Pachelbel
Recessional: "Wedding March" by Felix Mendelssohn
First Dance: "Everywhere" by Fleetwood Mac

Kaamila + Oliver set out to make their day a reflection of all the things that brought them together: “travel, food, friendship and love.”

Rustic Yet Rich Reception

Our Advice To Those Planning Now When preparing your budget for a wedding, I'd recommend an allowance for a wedding planner that fits your vibe. Victoria captured the essence of what we wanted. Every suggestion she made and recommendation provided was exactly in line with our vision and expectation. She also took the brunt of any stress, so on the wedding day we had the most amazing, memorable, day.

The bride + groom describe the vibe as “simple luxury.”

This ombre terra cotta cake is just too good.
Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding One of the most special moments we shared was our private first dance under the twinkling lights in the courtyard of the masseria while our guests were enjoying their dessert. It was a spontaneous moment captured by our photographer and videographer that meant the world to us.

A little rain couldn’t stop Kaamila + Oliver!! Congratulations on your gorgeous destination celebration, you two! GWS wishes you all the best!!
