Jennifer + Kyle are complete outdoorsy people so the one thing they knew about their wedding is it would be outdoors! Once they found the Pine Rose CabinsĀ in Lake Arrowhead, California, they knew they had the perfect location. To make sure their wedding fit their fun + unique personalities, they hired the talented Tori from Sitting In A Tree. She helped bring their day to life with lots of hanging ribbon, favorite lyrics on the floor + hanging from the roof, and so many more personal touches! Oh, and wait until you hear about Jennifer’s wedding dress ā it was her mother’s that she redesigned! So gorgeous!! Big thanks to Paige Lowe PhotographyĀ for the gorgeous photos and congrats to Jennifer + Kyle!
I am SUCH a family person. I am the oldest of 4 girls, my parents have been married for almost 30 years, and Kyle and I are VERY close with them. When searching for "the perfect dress," I didn't have much luck. Then, when hunting through my grandmother's attic I came across my mom's wedding dress that was handmade by my grandma herself. My mom is 5'6 and was no more than 115 pounds when she got married. I'm 6'0 and NOT 115 pounds, so, needless to say, when I slipped on her dress and it fit like a glove, I knew I had found THE DRESS.
After putting my spin on the originally high necked, long sleeved gown, wearing the SAME pearls my dad gave my mom so many years ago on their wedding day, and having both theirs and our wedding dates stitched into "our" dress, I felt like the most special girl in the entire universe. Still today, thinking about strolling down the aisle, daddy in my arms and seeing my best friend waiting for me is the most unexplainable feeling. Having that love, commitment, and 30 years of your and your future husbands "marriage role-models" represented in my dress gives me goosebumps! The entire process of walking down the aisle, hugging your dad goodbye, and taking ahold of your then minutes-away-from-husband's hands is the most unique and wonderful feeling in the world! Then, walking back up that aisle with your husband's fingers interlaced with yours is the MOST mesmerizing, "I'm floating on a cloud" feeling! Ugh, I absolutely LOVED getting married.

Two wedding dates for two weddings seen by thatĀ gorgeousĀ dress!
I am mildly obsessed with the vinyl words and words on molding that were on our aisle, entrance, and above our tables! We are in LOVE with country music, and all the quotes stemmed from our favorite songs. We spent an entire night going through my itunes pulling out our favorite lyrics! SO FUN!Ā
Kyle and I constantly just stop and say “gosh, we had the greatest wedding ever!” It is SO surreal and AMAZING to be married. We both think we are SO lucky to have had the greatest people, vendors, friends, etc in the world a part of our special day!
1. DO WHAT YOU AND YOUR FIANCĆ WANT TO DO. Your day is just that, YOUR DAY! Make it about you, who you are as a couple! Do not feel as if you have to do something if you don't want to! Trust me!! This was the greatest thing we did! Only have the people you want involved, do not feel like everyone has to do something! Always go with your gut instinct.
2. Absolutely, no questions asked, hire Paige with Paige Lowe Photography and Tori from Sitting in a Tree. They not only are they THE BEST, they are amazing people who I guarantee you will become friends with! And, if you have a fiancĆ© who is a penny pincher or doesn't understand the "need" of a designer or amazing photographer ā just have him call my husband: he's president of both their fan clubs now!

How much was the wedding budget?
ilene-
honestly, we didn’t have an exact wedding budget, we just did everything as budget friendly as possible.
for example, i thrifted everything & anything i could. when ikea sold their champagne flutes for 10 cents, i bought 200. classic party rentals had a huge blowout store, we went with a truck & loaded up anything we could! we now own ALL of the gold flatware, glassware, mis-matched china plates, mason jars, etc etc….
i hope that helps…
So how much did you end up spending total? I really LOVE your venue and also your style. We’re thinking of doing a very small guest list so I would like to know estimate. Thanks! :)
How Did you get around their all-inclusive policy…I just called them and the cost was over 21K for 125 people….
Birgit,
I got married there last year and they did mention the prices were going up this year because the owner is upgrading and adding a lot of decor elements. Given that every time we showed up to look around there was something new, I’m inclined to believe them that they’re adding a lot.
We saved some money by taking off a few things from the package. They let us remove the cake and flowers as we wanted to do that stuff ourselves. Granted, that only saved us hundreds of dollars and not thousands, so I think you’ll still have a pretty hefty price tag to get married there these days. It’s such a gorgeous location though. I can’t recommend it more highly.
Also, the smaller location fits quite a few people and is less expensive. They also give off-season and weekday discounts.
I love so much about your wedding!!! I’ve been looking into this venue, do you know the pricing?
We love your wedding, and Pine Rose. We are seriously considering having our wedding there, but have a few concerns. The main thing is transportation. They don’t seem to have a lot of information of renting shuttles to and from hotels. If we have a 100+ wedding, we’re going to need to provide that. How did people get home after your wedding? Thanks!
Brian, We had no trouble at all. We rented most of Pine Rose Cabins out, and then there was an Inn around the corner with cabins that most other guests stayed at.
Lake Arrowhead resort is near, however not smart after drinking. The cabins in the town of Twin Peaks were perfect though, and most made a weekend out of it.
WOWZERS!!! the amount of detail is pure eye candy. LOVE the hanging books!
Cool Collection of shots. I love the second dress.
Amazing pictures, specially the black and white, the couple looks lovely. I love the set up.
Gorgeous wedding! My fiance and I are actually looking to get married in Lake Arrowhead but are doing something more simple because of finances. I’ve tried to look into whether or not we need a permit to have a civil ceremony there but can’t seem to find anything. Did you have to apply for a permit? If so, do you remember the cost? Thank you!
Beautiful Images, love your style
