In a roundabout way, Ellie + Aaron were always meant to get married in Sweden. Though, at first, they weren’t sure what type of wedding would suit them best, Ellie had always wanted a destination wedding and with Aaron’s sister recently moving from China to Sweden, everything kind of just started to make sense + fall into place. Aaron shares, Since my sister and her family were moving back to Sweden from China around the dates we were thinking about getting married, they wouldn’t be able to make it to our wedding. I was really bummed at the prospect of them not being able to be there. Simultaneously, I remember talking to my dad about the destination wedding aspect of it and he had mentioned to let him know as soon as possible where and when we were thinking because he really wanted to visit my sister and her family in Sweden (he’d never been before). So, putting everything together was a no-brainer.
E + A flew the talented Tyler Branch to the forests of Sweden (aka Aaron’s sister’s amazing new backyard!) and the moody, romantic images he captured (with the help of Roger Elsworth) are just so good. Here’s to lots more amazing weddings from all around the world in 2015!!

The moody Swedish fog looks so good on camera!

We'd say the most memorable part of our wedding was the entire week of it, actually. Since it was a destination wedding, most all our friends and family flew out the week of so we were all setting things up together, going over plans, and just plain having fun. From having s'mores by the placid lake, to badger hunting with local swedes till 2am Friday night, to shotgun shooting, to going for a jog through the fields between the barn and house, to sharing good laughs as we set everything up...When we think of our wedding day, it's almost impossible to separate that from the entire week of the wedding because the experience as a whole was so awesome.

Isn’t this wooded Gothenburg forest a dream wedding locale? Such a fairytale setting.

Ellie’s bridesmaids wore stunning BHLDN + Adrianna Papell dresses. We love how they added a touch of glam to the pastoral setting. We have a bunch of these dresses (plus some fun, similar ones too) right now in the GWS Shop!

Such killer portraits of the newlyweds!

And we love, love the dark, romantic feel of the candlelit barn where the reception was held.

^^ Just incredible! ^^

Don't stress about the small stuff. The day of the wedding flies by so incredibly fast, it's ridiculous. Aaron remembers that there was something he was really stressed about and his twin brother, Winston, pulled him aside and said, "Hey. Today's your wedding. Enjoy it. It's all gonna work out." And he just relaxed after that and was like, "You're right - thanks, man."

Hi! This is soon beautiful and I’m also getting married in Sweden next summer. Too excited!
I was just wondering, the priest who married you, did he speak English? And if he did, where can I find him haha? I find it really hard to find a priest who speaks English in Sweden.. :/
