When you own one of the dreamiest wedding venues around, marrying your love on the property’s gorgeous grounds is kind of a no-brainer, don’t you think? Lydia is the proprietor at the beautiful Olympia’s Valley Estate in Petaluma, California and dreamt of a day that really reflected she and her now-husband, Brandon, as a couple. Since they live in the Victorian house at Olympia’s, they were able to have a backyard wedding of pretty epic proportions, executed with some seriously sweet bohemian, travel-inspired details.
Lydia says, Each design element had a purpose. I shied away from having decorations for the sheer purpose of decorations. I decided on draping the barn with champagne chiffon to soften the space and create a warm environment while bringing your eye to the peak of the barn, which made it seem larger than it really was. The vintage lounges with Moroccan rugs paired well with the venue and Victorian house. I wanted to keep the ceremony simple and not take away from the view, which was our farm. I used wooden benches and a Moroccan aisle runner and Moroccan rug in front of the ceremony arbor which was covered in white peonies and gardenias and green foliage.
Sounds like such a perfect scene! Can we tell you how glad we are that onelove photography was there to capture it all on camera?
What a stunning J. Mendel dress!
The couple worked with coordinator Amy Bridges Events, event designer Lydia Hansen, and The Petal Company to bring their dream wedding to life. We adore the relaxed, yet lovely, ceremony site!
Processional: 1,000 Years – The Piano Guys
Recessional: Is This Love – Bob Marley
First Dance: Stay With Me – John Legend
Home sweet home! What a perfect shot!
We always love an appearance by The Booth Bus!
One of our favorite moments was grabbing a treat from the ice cream truck and taking a moment in the bohemian lounge in front of the barn to soak it all in, seeing all of our guests so happy in the moment, enjoying each other's company and dancing under the moon instead of staring at their phones, and watching people freak out over the vintage VW Photo Booth bus! That was special to us. Our first look was another highlight, seeing each other eased our nerves and allowed us to really enjoy our day together.

Savor every moment, take the time to breath and cherish what a special day it really is. The actual day goes by so fast! Not everything is going to go exactly as planned (take my word), and that's okay. Also, have a glass of champagne or two! It's easy to get wound up, and that will ease your nerves a bit.

I love it!!
Thanks so much for the feature Green Wedding Shoes! Xo!
Thank you for posting and sharing this wonderful wedding with us. it is great to see the whole wedding day story so well captured and arranged into a blog story.
The images are very creative and in my opinion represent the day from start to end. The bridal portraits are well crafted and I like the summery and romantic look and feel they have. Like a wedding photographer myself I appreciate the beauty and compositions.
My second favorite are the wedding reception photos and specifically the reception hall. The decorations are so elaborate that is it a dream for every wedding photographer to be able to capture them. I have photographed many romantic weddings in the past and find them very satisfying. Glad to see you added one more, so we can learn about the theme and how to better appreciate them.
Oh thank goodness! Finally! A bride who isn’t super thin but still beautifully curvy and hot. It gets hard to see after a while, it’s like saying only super thin model-sized women can have gorgeous picturesque weddings.
