Jessica, an illustrator, and Nick, a musician/designer, live in Brooklyn, New York, far away from family and some of their closest friends. They wanted to have their wedding in a place that was beautiful + meaningful – and convenient for their guests – so they settled on Grove Park Inn Country Club in Asheville, North Carolina for its location + beauty. We just love how they creatively incorporated their trades + talents into their beautiful woodland-inspired celebration. Let’s hear more about how they did it from Jessica:
Nick and I both work in creative fields, so the wedding was a reflection of our creative spirits coming together. It felt really natural to be inspired by the organic beauty of the mountains and history of North Carolina, because we both incorporate so much of that in our work already. Illustrating the invitations, table numbers, and other paper goods made it feel so special and personal.

Our Favorite Memory
The most memorable moment by far was making our vows to one another. We wrote our own vows and didn't share them with each other until the ceremony. Our guests were surprised that we didn't share them beforehand because they matched up so perfectly!
The reception was warm + inviting with woodsy wildflower centerpieces, terrariums bursting with greenery + moss, woven place settings and lots of apothecary jars with candles sprinkled in between.
Our Advice
At the end of the day, the most important thing is the person you chose to spend your life with - so don't worry about every little detail. It will all come together as it is meant to!
