“We attended several weddings this past year, and noticed how the couples were separated most of the time — scrambling to gather their guests, make sure they got all the family photos, and that the day was going smoothly. We decided we wanted the complete opposite of that… To enjoy the whole experience intensely, and most importantly, together.” We completely understand their sentiments + reasons for wanting to elope! And really, who could turn down a backdrop like the island of Burano in Venice, Italy?! They brought on event designer + planner, Centorose e un Tulipano, to make the day go by even smoother, which was a brilliant move on their part.
The pastel pops and vibrant colors of Burano drew the couple in + they played up all the hues in their dreamy portrait session with photographer Bottega53. Chloe, the bride, wore a stunning layered tulle dress, and an amazing headband made of real peonies, which were used also for the circle bouquet. Chloe, a lover of peonies, actually chose to get married in June, stating: “It was the proper month to have the biggest peonies ever!” The island, famous for its merletto, which is an antique Italian lace, even made an appearance during their intimate sweetheart dinner!
Chloe’s love of peonies truly came out in the invitation suite, crafted by Centorose e un Tulipano.
What better way to prep for your wedding day than by bathing in a tub of peonies + petals?
Oh la LOVE! This layered tiered dress is from Sophie et Voila.
Those have got to be the grandest peonies we’ve ever seen!! Pretty Flowers by Fioreria San Rocco seriously complemented the already gorgeous environment with all the florals.
“We wanted to focus on ourselves,” said Stefano. “That’s why we asked our planner, Daniela and Paola from Centorose e un Tulipano, to find a place that was near Venice, but at the same time wild and in nature.“
The pair danced around Venice, and then made their way to Burano, to go back to their tent for a romantic dinner.

We had a romantic dinner in front of the tents, and we toasted, wearing comfortable clothing after a long day spent in Venice. It was nice to finally take off our shoes and formal clothes, to relax together.
Taking note of the vibrant colors from the day, Mami Louise crafted this confectionary delight.
Take your times and concentrate on your love, that is the only thing that matters. We loved the idea of a big party later, with family and friends, as husband and wife.
What a dream… For those that are thinking of whisking your love off to Italy — whether it be to say your vows, or just for a getaway — how romantic is this place?!
Grazie mille to the talented team of creatives involved!
