Rocky Mountain Winter Engagement Session: Lauren + Trevor

Lauren + Trevor knew they wanted to do something epic for their engagement session, so hopping on a flight to Colorado from Alabama was no big thing for these two adorable adventurers. They were chatting over dinner one night with their friends (and photographers!), Emma + Wesley of W&E Photographie, discussing different photo locations within driving distance of where they live in Birmingham, when Emma mentioned she was heading out Colorado in October for a wedding. Two days later, Lauren + Trevor were booking their flights and the rest was history! We love the idea of a destination engagement session + starting your next chapter with such a fun and memorable adventure.

Rocky Mountain National Park made for such a breathtaking backdrop! They spent the day hiking to Dream Lake and watching the sun set from the the mountain top on Trail Ridge Road. Sounds like L + T got just what they were hoping for when they wanted an epic setting for their photos!

Let’s end this gorgeous feature with the sweet story of how these two met! In Lauren’s words:

Trevor and I officially met in Spanish class at Samford University. Trevor was commonly mistaken for being rude while we were in school, but from day one he had always been a solid friend to me (come to find out he’s really a misunderstood, outspoken softy with a huge heart). Throughout our time at Samford, we had the opportunity to live life together with an incredible community of people. Over time, Trevor realized he was falling for one of his best friends. After patiently waiting for me to realize his intentions and how brilliant this pairing would be, he took me on a two-day dating adventure, which included a night of pizza, beer, and Crestwood Park and a day of zip lining and picnic-ing. From the start Trevor was bold in his pursuit, and after a few short months I knew I was falling in love with the funniest and most loyal guy I’d ever known.

We’ve learned that this life is filled with the grandest of highs and the deepest of lows, and we have chosen to venture on with our best friend. We are looking forward to many more years of road trips filled with scream-singing, front porch hang-outs, and exploring whatever season we’ve been given, together.

A little over a year later, Trevor asked me to spend the rest of my life with him on the swing of his front porch, the very house that we would build a family. I gladly agreed.

Congrats L + T and happy weekend everyone!
