The beautiful bride from today’s wedding, Katie, is a talented artist whose watercolor work has graced countless weddings over the years. To no surprise, this creative lady adorned her own wedding celebration with hand-painted whimsy, unique decor elements and an ethereal, artful vibe. She + Eli dreamed of a setting where wildflowers would be tucked into every corner, fig and honey drenched desserts would be served, butterflies, vines and wild berries would be woven throughout, and custom crafted signature whiskey would be enjoyed by all.
Thanks to their dreamy ideas + the execution by Ceylon Blu, their enchanting vision came to life and Wildflowers Photography was there to perfectly capture it all!
Katie shares, The theme of our day was the “Golden Age Wedding.” The Golden Age is often referred to as a time where everything was gilded and idyllic – a time of peace and harmony. I was greatly inspired by Dutch Golden Age still life paintings that often portray wild floral arrangements, fruit, and insects buzzing about.
The rain! Our photographers had taken us into the forest before the ceremony to take snaps on a huge mossy tree that had fallen in the creek. During these photos, the rain started pouring down! It was refreshing and magical. We were soaked, my dress was dirty, but it all felt right and as it should be.
Katie’s friend, Abby, from Of Mice & Mischief is responsible for her gorgeous + unique wedding dress.
Joy from Wildflowers Photography shares, The rain poured down and they let it drip from their hair and lashes as they exchanged vows beneath the towering old growth forest.
Just some of the hand-painted pretty by Katie Daisy!
The watercolor-inspired blooms, by HART, were a perfect match for the creative, woodland aesthetic + helped make the indoor reception feel like a forest fairytale.

Go with the flow! Things will happen that will be out of your control, but if you get upset it’ll just make them worse. Adopt a creative, positive attitude when things don’t go the way you envisioned. But mostly, remember that the day is about the two of you and your love. Nothing is as important as standing before your sweetheart and exchanging heartfelt words of love and unity.

What a wonderful wedding amid the magic and trees…and the treehouse (that I’ve been following)… so beautiful, so fun with woodland creatures in masks emerging from the wedding party, the dancing, and even the light blessing of rain following the afternoon sun through the great green forest. Wow.
