Have you been following along on Instagram this week? If so, you already know that we’re sharing all the insanely gorgeous inspo + creativity from Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week this year! Kicking off the week in the biggest way, was one of our all-time faves: Pronovias! And my goodness, did they do it in the most elegant fashion…
Brimming with florals, the stage at the Italian Pavilion (Fira Montjuïc) was turned into a veritable garden. The theme of “IN BLOOM” was carried to new heights as the models dazzled in floral gowns, dresses that looked like they had petals falling off, and tons of botanicals.
The front row featured international model Irina Shayk, model + influencer Rocky Barnes, model Rosanna Zanetti, and other leading ladies. Our mouths dropped as we watched Romee Strijd, Cindy Bruna, Blanca Padilla, Devon Windsor, Nadine Leopold, Sarah Fraser, Leila Nda, Tian Yi, Grace Guozhi (amongst others), highlight the haute couture bridal gowns from the 2019 Atelier Pronovias Collection. Maxi volumes, open backs, breathtaking necklines, and floral appliqués were some of the major trends we noticed.
Let’s take a peek at some of the key players of the show + see what’s in store for the coming year in bridal fashion!
Not only did suggestive transparencies take center stage — which sort of creates a tattoo-effect — but major zest was added with all the floral appliqués!
Capes came around in a BIG WAY (we saw a lot of them last year, too!), and complemented breathtaking necklines.
Would you rock an all-feather dress?
Simply sheer. As the theme was “in bloom,” we’re not surprised by the abidance of floral patterning!
Totally tiered + terrific. Don’t you think?
That lace jump suit!! It’s bold, it’s sultry, it’s kind of amazing, no?
Contrasting the straight silhouettes, Hervé Moreau (Pronovias’ artistic director), included an array of voluminous gowns.
Inspired by princess silhouettes, this high-low gown is seriously dramatic (in the best way possible).
Would you look at that subtle ombré! Awoooooogah!
Like petals falling off a flower… this gown was definitely one of our favorites from the Pronovias show!
To top it all off, the stage had the prettiest garden. Soooooo romantic!
We could keep going on about how incredible this collection is, but we’re pretty sure you can tell by all the stunning photos!
So, we’re curious to know — what trend or style is your favorite for the coming year? Let us know with a love note below – and click here to make an appointment to try on one of these gorgeous gowns! :)
