It probably comes as no surprise that we think photography is one of the most important elements of a wedding. When it’s all said + done, what’s captured on camera from the day is the only really tangible thing you have. We love it when couples put extra effort into making sure they have amazing portraits together. And that can mean planning for additional shoot locations or setting aside time on another day to make sure it happens.
Photographer Amy Cloud snagged these ultra amaze images of Haley + Alex in the coolest treehouse ever, dreamt up and built by Quinn Peterson, an entrepreneur + BYU student from Provo, Utah. He built it in three weeks all from leftover wood and windows in his backyard! And it couldn’t have been a better backdrop for H + A, a stylish duo with sense for adventure and a love for the untraditional.
Love Haley’s dress, which was a vintage, one-of-a-kind find.
Amy tells us, We wanted to take a relaxed and easy approach to this shoot. Something casual yet unique. This bridal session is proof that you don’t have to shoot your session at a perfectly groomed or crafted location.
These shots with holi powder smoke bombs are so rad, right?!
See more in the fun film Haizel Creations captured of the day!
So good, right?! We love that this session provides inspiration for couples to consider an additional portrait location somewhere super unique or meaningful to them. Big thanks to the team below for sharing Haley + Alex’s images with us!

How awesome is that tree house! So unique how the front is made out of different sized windows!
This a beautiful photoshoot!
It looks like it would have been a lot of fun to photograph this shoot.
Unique, that’s great and unique tree-house of a wedding couple. great idea.
These photos are GORGEOUS! My favourite one is of them at the open window and the photographer looking from the outside.
