It is time to slow and sway; let this classical dance move you. Today’s editorial is light, graceful and filled with fluid movements. The planning + design team at Seeded Events spun a modern twist on this classical performance art. It’s modern ballet wedding inspiration the way you would want it (the way we want it)…fresh and flower-filled!
Phylicia Willis shares: Because we wanted to keep this very modern with classic touches we played with the idea of hard and soft. To illustrate this, we used lush floral designs, and a dress showcasing beautiful ballet movements. And to help anchor the softness, we played with concrete textures + shapes.
Our bride and groom models, Sabriyya + Eric, are dancers from the Charlotte Ballet. A better pair for this ballet wedding inspiration couldn’t have been picked! All the grace + modern styling that you’re craving awaits. Phylicia Willis captures the day:
Feminine + Modern Details
Ballet shoes, and we’re ready to go with this gorgeous styling! The Modern + feminine invitation suite doesn’t hurt, either. Paper goods by AM Creative Studio.
A beautiful high neck on this custom wedding dress by Meagan Kelly Designs. The tall neck appliqué neckline showcases the intricacy of Kristie Lavaes magical hair design.
So cool with the cinderblocks against soft blooms.
Modern Ballet Wedding Inspiration
Go big or go home, right? That’s the thought behind this crawling floral backdrop designed by Seeded Events. And we’re here for it! Soft pinks, ivory and dusty rose blooms with crawling ivy and ruscus. A modern and artful ceremony indeed!
Light and graceful with fluid movements. We love the modern outfitting for these two talents.
Love this modern wedding portrait with the cascading ivy!
Different from the rough stone and ceramic decor, the tabletop details are delicate, pink and modestly modern. Furniture + tabletop rentals from Cooke Rentals.
Are you loving these delicate pink details? Here’s some more ballet inspiration…this time with bridesmaids!
Passion + Pirouettes To End The Day
Hard details, like this table number and place card, are cool juxtapositions to the soft pink petals.
Graceful and beautiful!
Cotton candy for dessert? Yes, please!
