Time to put your boogie shoes on for this wedding full of fun and disco balls! In fact, the bride put on her Chanel bridal sneakers and was ready to dance the night away! It’s this little bit of laid-back authenticity that was the inspiration behind this day. Emily + Travis wanted a design that featured a pastel wedding color palette, a mix of dried and fresh blooms, disco ball favors and a photo booth covered in top to bottom iridescent streamers. Heather, with Epoch Events, helped them transform Arrowhead Hill into a dreamy, bohemian space that was ready for a party!
Thanks to my absolute fairy god mother of a wedding planner/designer, Heather with EPOCH, and my legend of a florist, Nikki with Thorn Floral, my inspiration for the day evolved throughout the planning and design process. Going in, I knew that I wanted our wedding to feel intimate with a unique, whimsical, and modern twist to it. I remember telling both Heather and Nikki, “I have no clue what I am doing. I just want our wedding to feel different, and I want it to feel like me.” If you know me, you know I find heavy value in authenticity, so finding vendors who stand strong in their individuality really rocked my world.

Pastel Wedding Colors
Shades of lilac, mint, periwinkle and peach touched every inch of the wedding day decor. Even the sweetest Sand and Stone Handmade ring box that showed off E’s sparkler!
The Wedding Party
Don’t you just adore these fringed Camas Lilly Co robes?? The gals looked wedding ready thanks to glowing hair and makeup by Etoilly Artistry.
E’s Brickhouse Bridal gown is the perfect mix of romantic and carefree. She shares:
I kept my “party” small (mom and sister) and my mind open. I knew I wanted the dress to feel playful, but my only “research” before my appointment involved watching “Say Yes To The Dress” about 5 years prior and around 20 minutes of Pinterest scrolling. The third dress I tried on ended up being “the one.”
The perfect accessory to top off her fun bridal look? These Chanel bridal sneakers paired with rhinestone star Free People socks. Wanna see more brides rocking sneakers??
Dreamy Ceremony Setup
Disco balls on towering pedestals, surrounded by pastel wedding colors and lots of dried flowers?? We adore how creative and modern this look is! Thorn Floral Studios nailed it!!
Those moments…
Processional: Love Like This by Lauren Daigle
Recessional: Sunday Best by Surfaces
First Dance: One I Want by Flatland Cavalry
What do you wear to ring the wedding bells?? An Armani suit of course!
Newlywed Golden Hour Photos
The entire day was perfect and dreamlike. If I had to pick one moment, I would have to say ending the night with a ‘surprise' firework show by Broadway Bridal would be the most memorable. There is nothing better than your HUSBAND dipping you during a kiss underneath the stars with massive fireworks lighting up the sky. 10 out of 10 recommend! Every guest, including Travis and I, left speechless and on a major “high” from how incredible the night ended! Truly unforgettable.
Colorful Reception Decor
E + T set out to create a cozy reception environment for their guests. We would definitely take a seat and relax on this lounge set from Vestige Event Rentals!
Guests could grab a disco ball favor and get ready to dance the night away to the sounds of Smither Productions.
How fabulous are these iridescent streamers?? LOVE!
E + T kept their tablescapes clean and sleek with Your Butler’s Pantry tabletop rentals and Party Time Rentals linens.
Goode Co. catered the event with a yummy Mexican feast.
Advice from the Bride and Groom
E + T finished off the night with a bang! (an incredible fireworks show from Broadway Bridal!)
3 Keys to Planning YOUR Perfect Wedding (*Key Word: YOUR*):
1.) Just do it…hire the planner. And for goodness sake, please let them do the job you hired them to do, because the talent these wedding planners have is out of this world.
2.) This is going to scare some of you..BUT put that 3 inch binder away filled with all your ideas from Pinterest and Instagram, past expectations and requirements you’ve been building up…yep, put those away. I encourage you to take a step back, release the heaviness of perfection, and look inward at what is important to you. If camera’s and social media didn’t exist, what kind of wedding day do you imagine? Be authentic.
3.) Add some surprise to your day! Ya'll, so much goes into planning these weddings. By the time wedding week rolls around you have spent more time than one would care to admit looking at wedding details and making sure every box is checked on your list. With that comes very little surprise of what’s to come and leaves the door open to disappointment when expectations aren’t fulfilled to perfection. My advice is communicate to your planner, your florist, your wedding party, your MOH…basically pick some aspect of your wedding that you would be willing to accept some surprise and don’t think twice about it! I promise it will be refreshing and memorable to have something you didn’t plan happen on your big day!!
I just can’t say enough to be yourself throughout the entire process. When it comes to weddings, everyone has an opinion. It is so important to stand firm and confident in what feels right for YOU. At the end of the day, there are truly no rules when it comes to what you can do! Most importantly have fun and remember WHY you are doing this…it is about the marriage, not the wedding once the sparklers go out!
Couldn’t say it better ourselves! Congratulations Emily + Travis! We love your fun disco-themed wedding that had so many beautiful pastel wedding colors! The GWS Team is wishing you both the very best!
