When a wedding planner gets married, good things are bound to happen. Kehrin is the beauty + brains behind Jet Set Wed and her sweet + intimate patriotic courthouse wedding to her handsome beau, Jason, is (not surprisingly) just so good. Despite the fact that these two are zealous world travelers, they also have strong and proud roots in their mostly rural upbringing here in the USA. They decided that an intimate courthouse wedding – with a subtle red white and blue theme – felt just right to them. And we thought sharing their day would be the perfect way to sign off for the week + start to celebrate the 4th of July!
Kehrin tells us, We knew we wanted to have our real ceremony in Morocco which required us to be legally married in the states first. So we decided to elaborate on our courthouse wedding in order to involve our immediate family as they were not able to join us in Morocco. Jason and I are very involved in our community so we thought giving it a political twist would be fitting. We are huge morning people so it only made sense for us to have a morning ceremony. Our styles are a bit edgy, eclectic, and boho so we mixed patterns and textures to encompass all of the elements that make up our aesthetics.
Thanks so much to Trenholm Photo for these lovely images and big congrats to Kehrin + Jason on a beautiful ceremony!
Those rings by Mark Loren Designs? A major YES!
And we’re obsessed with K’s perfect wedding ensemble + impressed with how it all came together! The top was purchased only days before the wedding from Express and the skirt was handmade by a close friend. Too cute!
Signature Florals decked out the space at United Cafe Bar and Bistro (in Fort Meyers, Florida) with lots of pretty blooms in red, white + blue!
Dancing with our family and friends surrounding us was the moment that it felt real and it was the moment that I felt like a real bride. As a wedding planner, I am so used to working hard to provide that feeling for my brides that I didn't expect to feel it for myself, but it was such a perfect day that I felt like the luckiest bride!
Have fun with it and think of a way to incorporate the fact that it's at a courthouse. Definitely dress up and go all out! Most of all, get an amazing photographer and video team. No matter how small, it should be documented with style!
Happy 4th of July, everyone! Have a safe + happy holiday weekend!

I like the cake a lot. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. I also really love the brides look – her hair and that skirt are really pretty.
