Bri + Bobby’s story started a little over ten years ago, when they were in their second month of college at Sonoma State University. Bobby took Bri out for donuts, and mere weeks later, she was secretly telling friends that she knew she would one day marry him. During their third year of university, B+B attended a fraternity formal is Lake Tahoe, where Bobby pinned Bri. If you know anything about Greek life — this is a huge deal.
The following summer, right after they finished their finals, Bobby asked Bri to dinner to celebrate. She shares: On the way to dinner I noticed that his hands were dripping wet with sweat but I didn’t think too much about it. When we got to the restaurant it was completely empty and Bobby got down on his knee and proposed. The owners of the Italian restaurant came out cheering and popped a bottle of champagne for us! All of our friends were waiting around the corner to celebrate with us. We got married the following June just after finishing our senior year of college.
How sweet is that? A decade of marriage, and two kids later, Crowned Events + Lillywhite Photography wanted to celebrate B+B’s love, with a stunning vow renewal. Let’s see how they put it all together!
With the overall theme of tropical meets desert set, Nicroc Designs crafted these darling acrylic invitations.
The Outfits
All that off-the-shoulder goodness! Bri rocked a gown from The Dress Theory, and we seriously can’t get over those sleeves!
To complement the modern tropical touches, while keeping a Mid-Century color palette (to truly embrace the feeling of Palm Springs), B+B rocked sleek + sophisticated ensembles.
The Ceremony in the Desert
We adore the use of ghost chairs in the desert — eerie, yet ethereal.
Nectar & Bloom created stunning floral designs: simple, yet bold Birds of Paradise juxtaposed with the muted, neutral painted tropical foliage for the ceremony space.
Gaining inspiration from the Lautner Compound property, NicRoc Designs built an incredible wall for the ceremony, bringing Mid-Century charm to the rugged desert landscape.
After Bri said “I do” once again, their daughter wanted to do the same with her daddy. Bobby give her a cat ring, as she walked down the makeshift aisle with a Bird of Paradise… too cute!
Portraits with the Kids
Michelle of Lillywhite Photography shares: The family showed up and got ready together with Dad helping his little girl get into her “wedding dress” and helping their son put on his Converse, while they watched the Lion King.
OW, OWW!
Cheers to the both of you!
Aren’t vow renewals the sweetest?! Whether you’re wanting to celebrate your love, or maybe you didn’t get the wedding of your dreams and want to do so now — we’re all for vow renewals!
