Remember the Dream Love Shoot contest Caroline Tran and I offered to one lucky couple? Well, Caitlin + Simon were the lucky winners and today I’m so excited to share their gorgeous engagement photos. Caitlin + Simon live in Bermuda, so it was a bit of a challenge finding a date for all of us, but last month we did and we had so much fun together. Here’s a bit of their story as told by Caitlin:
Simon and I met while working for Outward Bound in Boston. He was running a training course for future instructors and I was a trainee. Initially, it was just a teacher/student crush… That was over four years ago. There is very little about our relationship that has been convenient. We have done significant stints apart and our relationship has spanned continents. We spend more time in airplanes than we do in our home, which is in Sydney, Australia. We work at sea. We live in Bermuda. My family is in the states. All signs have pointed to our relationship not working … We’re getting married this year. It’s, quite possibly, a marriage of inconvenience. We are thrilled.
Their dream photo shoot involved the beach and the activities they love doing together…I hope they love the results as much as I do! Gorgeous photography by Caroline Tran and styling by myself. Caitlin’s hair and make-up is by the lovely Courtney of Flourish.
Seriously, how cute are they?! Caitlin’s amazing vintage style swimsuit is from Unique Vintage. They have lots of great vintage bathing suits and dresses, so be sure to check them out if you are looking for either of those.
Since they met working on a boat, we had to incorporate a boat into the shoot! Simon even said this boat looked a lot liked the one they work on! :)
Love this series with the tube…
I don’t think we could have asked for a more sweet couple for our winners. Caitlin + Simon, we hope you had as much fun as Caroline, Courtney, and I did meeting you both and photographing your story. Best wishes for your wedding this fall and an amazing life together. Oh, and be sure to check out Caroline’s Blog for even more photos. :)
