Be still our bohemian hearts—today’s Coachella-inspired festival wedding is brimming with ombré details and tons of eye-catching accents! #SMITHCHELLA is the product of planning for almost two years. Ciara of Bash Co. + Events helped Sara + Ricky make all the ideas come to fruition at the Prospect House: macramé décor, the coolest ombré escort chart, a floral peace sign, and more!
The bride, Sara, shares: Honestly, it started with the dress. The Rue de Seine Blake gown was perfect. Fringed, comfy and sexy. It inspired me to go for a festival-themed wedding. The girls at A & Be bridal handed me Ciara Self, owner of Bash Co. Events, and we went full throttle for #SMITHCHELLA.
The festival awaits! Let’s take a peek at all the fun snapped by Peyton Byford Photography:
So ombré played a MAJOR part in the whole color scheme for the day, particularly with sunset hues. So, to kick off the epic event, Alli K Design crafted this swanky set!
The Bridesmaids
OH. MY. GOD. How gorgeous are those bridesmaid gowns?! We’re digging all the mustard, orange, and rust hues…especially paired with those darling kicks!
Want to snag a similar look? Most of these frocks are from Free People, Revolve, and ASOS. Here are a few of our faves:
HELLO, florals! Venus and Co Flowers knocked it out of the park with this one…I mean look at that color palette!
The Ceremony
The one that warms my heart the most though, was finally seeing Ricky for the first time on the wedding day. After all the chaos and glam that lead up to the ceremony, I was thankful to see him. It was calming. Also, the Randy Rogers Band concert.
Processional: Dog's Processional: You’ve Got a Friend in Me by Randy Newman; Bride: I don’t know the artist or title. I do know it was lovely.
Recessional: You Make My Dreams Come True by Hall and Oates
First Dance: Goodbye Lonely by The Randy Rogers Band
The Newlyweds
The goal? Infuse Sara’s FAVE design elements: Mid-Century Modern, with bohemian-inspired pieces. We think they nailed it!
The Boho Reception
How cool is this To the Moon Bus?! What a fun little lounge area for guests to hang out at before entering into the reception!
CAN’T. STOP. STARING! One of the coolest escort card displays we’ve seen to date!
The Tablescape
The interior of the Prospect House is truly a blank canvas and can be transformed in so many ways. We love what they did with the family-style tables and minimal place settings with pieces from Birch and Brass Rentals!
Pops of sunset hues EVERYWHERE!
And, of course, there had to be one last infusion of ombré and macramé…in the form of a cake by Feathers & Frosting!
Sara shares: The wedding goes by so fast. It is a whirlwind. I wish I could do it all again!
Let that serve as a reminder to soak it all in + enjoy the present moment. Congrats, you two!
