This Old Hollywood Palm Springs Wedding is a Foodie Delight

Palm Springs Foodie Wedding

We love a good meet-cute here at GWS, and Sheree + Dave’s is right out of a movie! Both stationed at one of their favorite NYC bars, they first met in the photo booth…and it was just there where Dave proposed 12 years later! Are you kidding?! So perfect. S + D wanted day filled with the best food, the best drinks, and the best people. They turned to Details, Darling to bring it all to life and Sheree shared a bit about their inspiration:

Most of our guests have never been to Palm Springs so we wanted to make it a destination for our guests. We love Palm Springs so we embraced the desert and the mid-century modern vibe with a touch of Old Hollywood. We wanted a laid back vibe and Palm Springs, with its magical sunsets, provided the perfect backdrop.

Katie Pritchard came on board to capture all the colorful (and delicious) details — let’s have a look!

The Dreamiest Desert Ceremony

Palm Springs Foodie Wedding

Umm…amazing! Here’s what Sheree told us about finding the meant-to-be venue:

We knew Colony 29 was the perfect location the moment we stepped foot on the property. It was the first venue we looked at and nothing else compared. It was so wonderful to have our friends and family stay on property for the weekend. There are so many beautiful places for photos and Details, Darling brought it to life with their incredible design.

Drink up!

Dave had only one request for the day: a giant punch bowl! Archive Rentals helped create a drinking station where guests served themselves punch in assorted mid-century glassware.

Archive also brought in the cutest white trailer bar for cocktail hour and several mid-century pieces for the lounge area.

A Hollywood-Worthy Reception

S + D are on the road a lot for work, so they decided to gift guests with luggage tags! Details, Darling put a creative spin to the favors, using them to direct guests to their seats.

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

Don’t sweat the small stuff; no one will remember the color of the napkins. Enjoy every moment (the day goes by so fast). It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to have all your loved ones together. Oh, and eat!

A Foodie Dream Come True

Speaking of eating, let’s talk food! To kick off the celebration + beat the heat, guests snacked on yummy popsicles from Si Paleta. After the ceremony came cocktail hour, where MIHO Catering Co. created a bao station that stole the show!

For dinner, guests enjoyed a family-style meal with buttermilk fried chicken + Thai ginger sea bass. MIHO also set up a late-night taco station and fresh churros drizzled with dulce de leche. Drooling.

And just in case guests were quite filled to the brim, S + D served donut-topped milkshakes from Great Shakes while guests danced the night away to tunes from Dart Collective!

To really bring home that Old Hollywood glam, Lola Video created this darling video clip of the day! Love it. Cheers to Sheree + Dave and this new, exciting chapter to your story!
