There’s a map of the world made entirely of flowers. There’s a pup in a tux. Not to be outdone by the synchronized swimmers, of course. And at the center of it all…there’s Jackie + Levi! J + L were accidentally introduced by a friend who had no intention of setting them up, but is still quite happy with the end result! Jackie tells the story:
We first met when Levi, then living in Utah, was passing through LA on a day when I threw a party at my house. He reached out to his childhood friend Amanda, who I had met in a book club, and she invited him over. We chatted so briefly that I don’t even remember it. Levi very innocently asked Amanda, “Who’s your friend?” And Amanda famously replied, “Don’t even think about it.” It’s unclear as to whether she thought he was out of my league, I was out of his league, or if she just generally didn’t see the match. No one can blame her, as we could not be more different, but it works for us. We didn’t start dating until maybe 6 months later, when Levi was in town again and we found ourselves talking all night at another book club friend’s birthday party at a bar on Sunset. Despite my hesitation over the prospect of a long distance relationship, he kept calling and I kept answering. I just really enjoyed him and found him fascinating, weird, funny, and kind. So the moral of the story is: read books and say yes to stuff.
They were married at the colorful, stately Hollywood-era Paramour Estate in Los Angeles and Our Labor of Love captured the day!
The Bride
Like a queen in that chair! Jackie wore a gown with geometric beading and metallic snakeskin shoes. To top it off, Kohnur gave her a glam look with red lips and a low chignon.
Anne Robin‘s calligraphy styles greeted guests, along with a hint at one of the most fun details to come!
The Ceremony
One of J + L’s favorite parts of the day were their vows. Written by their officiant and unseen until the moment, Jackie called them perfect, weird, funny and sweet.

The Details
We’re going to go ahead and name Milo the Best Dog because…well, just look at him!!
Such a stud in that suit! And a floral leash?! If you’re wondering how to incorporate your pet into your wedding…this is the way, people! And we couldn’t help but look up a few doggie attire options to get you started…
Another crazy creative detail we’re loving is this seating chart! Of the Flowers designed some stunning floral moments for J + L’s day and we love what this represents. Jackie sweetly told us: I can’t overstate the significance of seeing such a diverse group come together to support us. Our friends and family are where we came from and represent such different backgrounds and cultures, but we threw a party that everyone could appreciate. That is so, so gratifying.
With design + planning by Bash Please, the day came together in stunning color and detail.

The tables looked simply delicious with tabletop rentals from Casa De Perrin and gorgeous linens from La Tavola. The dried fruit and florals were the perfect touch!
Found Vintage Rentals brought in some lovely pieces to add to the romance + drama.
Looking for a unique reception idea? Jackie told us the synchronized swimmers were THE conversation piece of the day (in addition to Milo’s suit, of course)!
And a favorite memory of the day? Ending the night dancing like idiots to Starship’s “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” will be one of our favorite memories forever.
