Typically, macrame weddings are accompanied by wispy bohemian grass and ’70s-inspired, embroidered dresses. However, today’s ethereal wedding inspiration is flipping the script on all things macrame! With dainty details and gentle spring blooms, this styling captures the essence of spring, sunshine + a bit of whimsy.
Sarah from GATHER Events shares: For this editorial, we’re so excited to collaborate with Modern Macrame on an earthy, elemental take on a spring micro wedding at Vessel by Eÿn Vas. Taking cues from the organic materials used to weave little details like napkin rings, wristlets, and hairpieces, we work to create menus + signage also reflective of materials derived directly from the earth. Stone + clay and wood perfectly paired the soft, lush textiles to create depth and texture.
As we head out of the winter months, we’re embracing all the ethereal and organic feels from this vibrant inspiration! Not only will you fall in love with the styling, but you’ll also have a completely new version of what a macrame wedding can look like! Photos from Maria Lamb draw us in.
Ethereal Awakening with Springtime Blooms
Year after year, we’re rewarded with the spectacular blooms that burst onto the scene each spring! Namely, lilac, wisteria, tulips, daffys, dogwood, cherry blossoms, and so many more perfect petals emerge. With that in mind, Ponderosa & Thyme arranges these divine designs with all the color and grace you’d want in an ethereal wedding.

See Level Design Co and Ashwood Ave work to create menus and signage derived from the earth. Stone and clay and wood perfectly paired the soft, lush textiles to create depth and texture. Equally important are the mixing and matching pieces from Lily & Cane to create detailed scenes of celebration. Finally, the vibrant icing on the tablescape cake is this curry, velvet linen from La Tavola!
Every macrame wedding tabletop needs a touch of fringe, right?! Loving this place mat and chic setting.
All things considered, it’s safe to say that we’ve had our macrame minds changed! Who knew this woven art could lend itself to such tender wedding designs. We wouldn’t mind a new macrame accessory of our own. Or a slice of this cake.
