Talk about a meet-cute: Inga + Zingy met at a laundromat! They’re both tall, so they spotted each other immediately. And last year, they eloped in the midst of the pandemic. Meanwhile, Jaime at Wild Heart Events was noticing a shift in the wedding industry and with it, a lack: “There was a big theme in breaking from tradition in post-pandemic weddings, yet I was searching hard to find a wider representation of gender non-binary wedding styling in editorials.”
That’s when you take matters into your own hands! Jaime and the team behind this day conceptualized the wedding of Inga + Zingy’s dreams at Dazey Desert House in Palm Springs.
Overall, we wanted the design to read as modern and cutting-edge. Bright, bold, and exciting just like Inga + Zingy. We didn’t want everything to look perfectly in place or feel like a stereotypical wedding. Our goal was to smash societal expectations and standards through the design and styling and feature something fun, funky, and expressive…the way love should always be! We also wanted Inga and Zingy to feel like this could be their dream wedding…full of color, style, and personality.
Carmen Lopez Photo was on hand to capture every detail of the day. Let’s have a look!
Out of the gate and already iconic.
A Perfectly Imperfect Table
When the perfect venue and your styling concept combine — how good are all these colors?
These sculptural floral designs by Natalie Blooms are so dreamy with Haus of Stems‘ Iridescent Anthurium at the center.
The colorful table came together with pieces from Table Method and linens by La Tavola.
Marie Antoinette would be proud. The CUTEST cake by Pink Dish Co!
Next-Level Non-Binary Wedding Fashion
So. Epic!! Inga + Zinga chose pieces from Sweet Caroline Styles and Death Trip Vintage to build a wardrobe full of vintage wares and one show-stopping tulle skirt.
This bouquet!!
We’re obsessed.
Just SO good. Congrats to these two and cheers to the team behind it all for bringing this stunning and important vision to reality!
