Oktoberfest is officially underway! A full season devoted to beer, food, games, and fun…sort of sounds like the perfect wedding, doesn’t it? Enter this Oktoberfest wedding inspiration with a bright, bold twist. Because while beer + pretzels are enough to make for the best wedding ever, fun design is the mustard on top!
Putting a “twist” on traditional fall colors, Carlene at Naturally Yours Events chose a warm, neon palette with natural accents. It’s a fresh and funky vibe that you wouldn’t traditionally think of when you imagine combining craft beer and weddings. We DIG it!

The brides wore a dress by Jenny Yoo and suit from The Groomsman Suit. We Only Do Pretty went with light, clean makeup and a bright, bold lip color to match the day!

Reception for an Oktoberfest Wedding Day
The day took place at Ravenswood Event Center in Chicago by the team behind the alternative wedding show, Wedtoberfest! The show allows couples to check out favorite local beer options while meeting awesome wedding artists in a fun, casual, beer-hall atmosphere. Check it out in Chicago on October 4th and Minneapolis on October 25th (plus—dates in Austin, Seattle, and Denver, in 2019)!
Long wood farm tables and eclectic wooden chairs set the scene of the beer hall.
Okay, isn’t this the coolest way ever to serve pretzels?!
The hand-dipped watercolor table runners were the perfect foundation for the garlands of “floral” centerpieces, handcrafted out of paper by The Striped Petal. Look closely and you’ll see beer hops mixed in!
Loving this little Easter egg for beer lovers: bundles of wheat etched on the plates!

A Festive + Colorful Lounge
Relics Vintage Rentals brought in some fun with lounge furniture in vibrant colors and mixed textures.
Reminiscent of the actual Oktoberfest in Germany, the day’s design was complemented by bistro lighting and a ribbon canopy created by Atmosphere Events Group.
