Lately, some of our favorite editorial features on GWS have taken place in greenhouses. (See what we mean here + here.) And what’s not to love? They’re one of the most romantic settings imaginable for tying the knot + today’s gorgeous shoot, shared with us by Molly Gilholm Photography + E Events Co, is only further proof of that fact! These gals turned a beautiful, overgrown garden (think walls and benches draped in Spanish Moss + tropical ferns as far as the eye can see) into an inspiring space for saying I Do. With added lushness in the form of a gorge bouquet and table garland courtesy of Gavita Flora + some stylish ideas for minimalistic wedding day attire, we think no matter where you’re exchanging your vows, you’ll find a thing or two to love from this one!
More from Molly, When I stumbled across Shelldance Orchid Gardens in Pacifica, California online I KNEW I had to do a shoot there, and the idea of the naturalist/botanical theme came instantly flooding into my head.We took inspiration from the esthetic of early century botanical gardens, and the feel and colors of Wes Anderson movies. So, with a little help from air plants, feathers, and an overcast San Francisco summer day, our shoot was born.
Such a killer bouquet! And we love seeing the shoot details tranced the typical design areas, like the tablescape, and show up in unexpected places like the bride’s hair! Who knew a feather and a couple of little air plants could look so sweet as a hair accessory?!
IN LOVE with this stylish look for the bride + groom! We pulled together our favorite attire + accessory pieces from this fun shoot to help you get the Naturalist Greenhouse look for yourself:

Brass + lush greenery go together like the stars and the sky. You just can’t go wrong with this beautifully simple look!

Love these photos! They remind me of several weddings we’ve seen take place at the botanical gardens. Gardens/greenhouses are always a lovely setting!
