Have you ever ventured to Montenegro? We have a feeling that not many of you have visited this Balkan country (including us!)—but after seeing this editorial, there’s a good chance it’ll end up on your list! Wanting to play up the spirit and power of the Montenegrin mountains, Alexandra and Vladimir of Nadtochiy Photo teamed up with Maria Lipatnikova, Serafima Pavlova and Natalya Dolnikova for something that’s both bohemian and edgy.
A+V tell us: We wanted to embody absolute freedom, unity with nature, and channel the open-mindedness of creative couples looking for the ultimate form of self-expression. On top of that, we wanted to feature the deep connection with nature and the memory of those that came before them, and Irina Neprina helped us make this dream into a plan!
Let the journey to Zabljak in Montengro begin!
The Village
From the rugged mountains to the quaint villages…isn’t this like something out of a fairy tale?
How cool is the groom’s all-black ensemble? We’re digging the velvet jacket for a touch of drama!
The Gown
That DRESS! From the intricate lace to the long train and those fringe sleeves… If you want something with movement—this gown from Persona is the way to do it!
The Sweethearts
Aren’t these rustic houses so charming? Not only do they capture the history and the unique architecture of the location, but they make for incredible backdrops, too!
STUNNING.
Into the Wild
In our project, we used a combination of unusual textures, such as lace, velvet, fringe, leather, feathers, metal, and wood. The magnificent landscape of northern Montenegro with its picturesque vegetation and authentic wooden houses became a perfect backdrop for this style and embodied a synthesis of romance and the spirit of wandering.
That hat? It’s by Olga Galitsina.
For a seriously enchanting look, why not carry a tambourine? We adore how the ribbons dance in the wind.
The team mixed a variety of elements for this editorial: natural and of the earth accents, effortless bohemian flair, and yet the whole thing exuded a sort of edgy fairy tale vibe. It’s chic and eclectic, yet wild and untamed.
The Macrame Backdrop
Letting the landscape shine, the backdrop was kept minimal with just a few pieces of macramé by Sirenь and a touch of florals.

For the bouquet Serafima Pavlova created, it was all about rich shades, combined with delicate peonies, roses, and dahlias.
So sultry!
The Picnic Lounge
What better way to celebrate your love than a sweet picnic with a view of the mountains?
Woah. Just woah.
The Mountain are Calling…
Quaint + quiet, they walked hand-in-hand through the valley…
Still not over that fringe!
And that, my friends, in Montenegro. Who else would love this visit now?!
