It’s all about ballin’ on a budget, right?! With so many creative brides out there, we love seeing how each + every one of you is able to transform a space and put together one heck of a theme while saving precious pennies earned. Today’s lovely lady, Samantha, and her beau, Brandon, wanted to bring a boho glam feeling infused with edgy, moody jewel tones to the venue, Moniker Warehouse, in San Diego; and they did just that with the help of Aly of Luna Wild Design.
It all started when Samantha was newly engaged… She was scrolling through her Instagram feed and saw our GWSxMumu dark floral gowns (woo!). Samantha fell head over heels for the design and asked each of her ‘maids to pick the style they’d like to rock (her favorite part is that she can borrow the dresses from her friends for later events — major bonus!!).
Let’s proceed to the party captured by Kelly Wood Photo!!
How fun are those turquoise Rachel Simpson kicks? Fit for a boho mermaid queen… Or someone that loves Art Deco-inspired designs!
CUTIES!! Samantha + her crew looked extra cool in all the dark + edgy colors… As for those floral dresses? Oh just a FAVE of ours — from the GWSxMumu collab!
Brandon’s guys looked dapper in their tuxes from Friar Tux.
Samantha spills: Our inspiration for our day was to have a complete celebration and lively party with all of our friends and family. We wanted to be comfortable and non-traditional, and have more of a “hanging out” feeling… So we incorporated all of the things we love: live music, tacos, desserts and drinks!
That geometric meets greenery installation is seriously RAD!! Major props to Luna Wild Design + Layered Vintage.
As for the geometric invites + elegant calligraphy banner? They’re the handiwork of Twinkle & Toast!
Processional: Make You Feel My Love (Instrumental) by Adele
Recessional: The Dog Days Are Over (Instrumental) by Florence & the Machine
First Dance: Say You Won't Let Go by James Arthur
Playing off of the hues from the GWSxMumu gowns for the bridesmaids, Layered Vintage crafted this moody + dark bouquet, complete with deep purple dahlias!

Samantha simply stunned in her BHLDN gown, don’t you think?
The most memorable part of the wedding was dancing at the end of night with family and friends — all singing along to Journey's "Don't Stop Believing." It was seriously so awesome.
Aly of Luna Wild Design shares: We wanted to make the details very special and bring a new bohemian twist to Mid-Century Modern; to do this we incorporated some black mud cloth patterns, which then brought in the geometric and modern touches we were after!
We’re kind of OBSESSED with those geometric hanging escort cards!!
S+B love live music and all of their beginning dates were to music shows — so they wanted to incorporate this into their day by having live music. Always a fun touch to get the party going! :)
Tying in the overall geometric meets moody boho theme for the day, the tables were lined with curious shapes + votives.
1. Hire a coordinator (Aly and Cassandra saved me!).
2. Remember it's your day, so don't get caught up with everyone else's opinions.
3. Have fun! Everything will fall into place.
For the finishing touch, they served delicious chocolate brownies with espresso cream, along with a variety of other decadent delights crafted by Deedee.
We love seeing weddings that incorporate something from the many GWS collabs… Especially our beloved GWSxMumu dresses!!
Congratulations, Samantha + Brandon!!
