Moody Industrial Wedding Inspiration

The Bride Scissorhands

When the team behind today’s fun editorial called their project The Bride Scissorshands (a reference to the beloved – albeit campy – 90s film, Edward Scissorhands), we were definitely intrigued! The scene is filled with plenty of stylish industrial elements, and it felt like just the thing to share since Halloween is tomorrow!

Estelle from MC2 Mon Amour, who planned, styled + floral designed this shoot, wanted to design an inspiring indoor ceremony site, and include some cinematic details (like the film reel backdrop) and mix different textures (like copper, concrete, ivy and fern) to create visual interest. The end result was the perfect mix of grunge + glamour…a juxtaposition that works great for fall or Halloween weddings. But don’t just take our word for it. You can see for yourself in the photos below by La Femme Gribouillage!

Estelle worked alongside Adeline Fonknechten + Solenne Charriot to bring this amazing ceremony decor to life!

The aesthetic of the editorial was kept consistent in the bride + groom’s looks, styled by MC2 Mon Amour Emilie Berger. The lace-topped dress is by Rime Arodaky and it was complemented by industrial jewels, a dark manicure + smoky makeup by Mélanie Etchart.

The abandoned venue space the team found was just right for what they had in mind. By adding greenery, tulips and lots of candlelight to the tablescape, they were able to create a setting that feels industrial, romantic and totally wedding-worthy!

Wasn’t that beautiful? So dark + mysterious, in the best of ways!
