Did you know that Charleston, SC is one of the most sought after wedding destination cities in the US? Yep! There’s a plethora of charming venues, historic hotels and, of course, that southern hospitality, so it totally makes sense! However, the traditional “Southern Lowcountry Wedding” isn’t all Charleston has to offer — and that’s exactly what the team behind today’s editorial set out to prove. One very, very cute mobile bar sparked the whole concept and from there all the vintage details began to fall into place. The Petal Report planned the day and gave us the full scoop!
Our vision for the Chug-a-Lug Wagon shoot was born out of one desire, simply put: to be different. The vintage, Italian Piaggio Ape restored mobile bar is such a unique concept in it’s own right, thus our styling needed to match that aesthetic. We were very intentional in choosing each vendor and model who participated in this shoot. Our design theme was “hauntingly romantic, moody + avant-garde.” Our objective was to instantly pull the reader in and create palpable sensations when viewing the images. Each contributing vendor we selected has a completely distinctive vibe about what they create.
Hazel Eyes Photography was the perfect choice to capture those warm, moody tones. Get ready to see Charleston in a whole new light!
