Rich hued florals, birch tree branches and a moody bohemian feel… This elegant wedding at Glen Foerd on the Delaware in Pennsylvania is brimming with gorgeous details! From the unique floral hoops and eco-friendly décor, to the incorporation of Sukkot — a week-long Jewish festival celebrating the harvest — Gab + Mark’s wedding was perfectly them.
The couple shares We’re a pretty laid back couple with very traditional families and we had to find a balance that worked for everyone, so the term “elegant but not fussy” was referenced at every step of the planning process. Keeping the day as eco-friendly as possible was also a top-priority that guided decisions like the menu, flowers & decor, transportation and favors. Lastly, our wedding fell on the first night of Sukkot, so we worked with our florist to create an event that incorporated elements of the holiday into the party.
Let’s head to Pennsylvania to see all all the pretty, photographed by With Love & Embers!
This invitation suite by Neon Sheep Calligraphy is so pretty + modern! And we’re loving the leafy accents.

How gorgeous is that fall colored bouquet by Chicory Florals?! Gab shares I knew I had found the florist of my dreams when I told her I wanted kale in my bouquet and she didn’t bat an eyelash.
Look at the birch trees branches!! So pretty!
Processional: Colours by Donovan
Recessional: Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da by The Beatles
First Dance: Harvest Moon by Neil Young (played by Renee Maskin)
Our very good friend + talented musician, Renee Maskin, played our first dance — Neil Young's Harvest Moon, and a set of originals and covers during dinner. Following that. there was the most beautiful, massive full moon over the Delaware River and our guests stepped outside to enjoy. We couldn't have planned that any better.
The dark magenta and burgundy create such a great backdrop for the neutral tones.
Try to limit the amount of decisions you have to make so you can focus on what matters most to you. File the elements of your wedding into three categories — what you need to have at your wedding, what things you really don't care about, and what you don't really care about but can't do without. Spend most of your energy on the elements that will make your day special and personal. Simply don't do the things you don't care about and can cut without offending anyone. For the things you absolutely can't cut, trust your vendors to make those decisions for you.
