Taking notes from the redwoods and coast of Northern California, today’s bride + groom were so inspired by the natural scenery that their wedding theme incorporated all the elements of the coast, which was brought to fruition by the talented team at LVL Weddings & Events. Utilizing denim and deep blue hues as their main colors, along with bright whites and soft greens seen in succulents throughout, the whole weekend complemented the stunning natural landscape. The bridesmaids ditched typical bouquets and wore darling succulent head wreaths instead.
The bride shares: Our inspiration was the wild, raw beauty of nature sprinkled with some boho elements. Our wedding was truly a reflection of us as a couple. First off, when choosing a location, we knew Northern California was our first choice. We are both from Miami, but have absolutely fallen in love with California’s natural beauty. As for choosing a venue, we wanted a place where we could fully immerse ourselves in nature and where only our guests would be staying at the location for the weekend. The second we arrived at Timber Cove, we knew it was the perfect location; it had good vibes, a view of the ocean and dramatic redwoods.
Let’s waltz through the redwoods and discover Timber Cove for ourselves, in the moments captured by India Earl!
That Kleinfeld Bridal gown… OW, OW!! How stunning is all that lace?
Taylor shares: I originally wanted a first look to have more time to take photos but he thought it would take away from seeing me walk down the aisle. We chose not to do one, and it was the best decision for us.
As Tiffany is a vet, it was only natural that she and Diego incorporated their two little yorkies, Nahla + Prince, into the big day! Truth be told, the little ones stole the hearts of all as the perfect “flower girl” and “ringer bearer.”
If you have dogs and want to include them, go for it! Don’t let anyone tell you not to. We made it work with our two little ones. Additionally, don’t feel like you have to follow tradition. Our Hispanic families are very traditional and we are not at all. We decided early on that we would make our own decisions regardless of the opinions of others.
How dapper is that bunch?!
Tiffany: Standing in front of my favorite person, my dogs, and everyone we loved saying our vows. Originally, I was very nervous about it because I thought saying our vows in front of people would detract from how meaningful they were. I felt like I would be focusing on everyone else and not on the moment. I even thought about doing a first look where we would say our vows alone. Thankfully he talked me out of that and it was perfect. I only focused on him from the moment we got up there and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
Diego: Watching my bride walk down the aisle. I remember having to look away for a second because I was going to start crying and I kept thinking “it's too early to start crying.”
To reflect the different backgrounds of the bride and groom (bride is Cuban and groom is Brazilian), they had readings in both Spanish and Portuguese during the ceremony.
Processional: Marry Me by Train
Recessional: Signed, Sealed, Delivered by Stevie Wonder
First Dance: Never Stop (Wedding Version) by SafetySuit
What a view…
As for the bouquet, Charlotte and Daughters combined silver dollar eucalyptus, baby eucalyptus, a spray of thistle, a giant white King Protea, and a collection of white anemone.
Pop the champagne, Tiffany is changing her last name! SO FUN!!
All those deep blue denim hues mixed with the succulents + the driftwood = Major Coastal California Vibes
Would you check out this thistle-covered cake by Cake Bloom!! Guess what — the interior is cookie dough. YUM!
Pure magic…
My biggest piece of advice is to be present and take time to be alone with your husband. Break away from everything going on and just relax and take in the moment. For us, I made sure we had a full hour away from it all during dinner. During that time, we were able to take some sunset photos, and enjoy the sunset before rejoining for cake cutting. It was perfect.
If you can, I highly recommend a wedding weekend instead of just a wedding day. We knew from the beginning that we didn’t want our wedding day to be all about saying hi and schmoozing so we chose to have a Welcome Reception the day before with games. It was the best decision as we were able to talk to all of our guests that day, and make our wedding day about enjoying each other.
Write your own vows! The task may seem daunting and it took me FOREVER to write them but so worth it!
It’s all about doing your big day your own way! Congrats, Tiffany + Diego!!
