Lately, we’ve seen an influx of weddings held in greenhouses, or receptions taking place in the glass beauties…and we’re ALL for it! Today’s striking masterpiece is sequestered away in Goleta, California (Santa Barbara County), and we have a feeling many of you out there might want to take note. Why? Oh, just all the modern whimsy and industrial elements that flooded the space! Jessie + Brett brought on Tyler Speirer Events to combine the natural elements with all things chic, with a touch of edge. Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm offered the perfect balance of fun and beauty with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.
Tyler, the designer shares: The bride and I worked together to design this wedding, we wanted the greenhouse to be completely transformed from a raw, open space into a space of elegance, timelessness, and warmth. The place was brimming with elegant white flowers, and tons of greenery. Simple, yet striking.
Let’s take a tour of the space in all the magic captured by Katie Shuler Photography!

Hello, GORGEOUS! Jessie donned a regal Alexandra Grecco gown embroidered with florals (complementing the greenhouse, of course!).
All the hues for the day were rather subdued: grays, white, cream. And we’ve got to say, it was done SO WELL! Want to snag these gowns in a variety of different cuts? They’re from Show Me Your Mumu!
Lookin’ SO sharp!
The Ceremony
A ceremony overlooking the Pacific Ocean…sounds like a dream to us!
Processional: Bridal Party: Piano Version of Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles); Bride + Dad: Piano Version Can't Help Falling in Love by Elvis
Recessional: You Are the Best Thing by Ray LaMontagne
First Dance: Acoustic Version of Latch by Sam Smith
Tyler Speier is the floral wizard behind those blooms + all that textured greenery.
The Newlyweds
Who else believes that greenhouses are full of magic?
The Modern Reception in the Greenhouse
Tyler tells us: Jessie and Brett wanted to get married with some aspect of the beach/ocean so when they came across this venue, it was an easy decision. The venue was stunning by itself, so they just wanted to add some extra elegance and keep it simple—lots of white flowers and greenery. They loved how all the details came together and how romantic the greenhouse and ceremony felt!
Aren’t these acrylic table charts simply stunning?
My favorite design element was the leafy Texas Smilax installation me and my team installed on the preexisting beams of the greenhouse to give the illusion of old vines bursting through the glass panes and filling the space. It was so romantic and made the space feel so warm, vibrant, and full of life.
All of the greenery accents were juxtaposed with the simple, neutral table settings—white linens, white blooms, soft gray table runners, light woods, and beautiful minimalistic china were used to give a timeless and elegant, yet clean and modern feel.
Dinner was finished up with these darling floral cakes by Enjoy Cupcakes.
The whole day just felt like US; and that's what we loved the most.
These two + that gorgeous setting! Are you thinking about a greenhouse setting for your wedding? If so, we’d love to hear where in the comments below!
