This Modern Vintage Wedding Oozes Italian Renaissance Romance

For those who have a soft spot for all things vintage, you’re going to fall in love with this “Old-World-Meets-New” editorial. Set in a historic New England farm estate on a crisp autumn day, this wedding inspo feels regal and effortlessly relaxed all at the same time. The best part? The eclectic indie rock band Florence + The Machine served as a muse for the design and concept. #CosmicLove right?!

Wedding photographer Emily Delamater helped capture the gorgeous setting and teamed up other highly-skilled vendors to create the swoon-worthy design. “I love bringing inspiration to couples that they don’t always see, and I love the idea of really creating a strong vibe and feel,” says Emily. She explains that they started out dreaming of a Renaissance-inspired shoot, but as they were putting together the finishing touches they realized they were drawn to some more modern elements, such as Florence + the Machine’s unique style. “To me, vintage is all about layering and textures,” says Emily. Adding, “and not being afraid to mix it all up.” If you ask us, the overall look and feel of this styled shoot did just that. It’s Bellissimo!

The invitation suite featured seasonal fall colors, such as burnt orange and burgundy, as well as torn edges to evoke a more Old-World vibe.

We can’t get enough of this wedding-day look. The faded almost yellow-looking hue pairs perfectly with the shoot’s Old-World theme. The relaxed fit and thigh-high slit elevates the vintage vibe giving it a more modern flair.

As we mentioned above, this styled shoot oozes romance. The reception space was decorated with an ethereal burgundy cloth table runner and taper candle lighting to contribute to the styled shoot’s Italian Renaissance theme. A contemporary floral installment hung above the tablescape for an extra wow factor.
