Disco never truly died, right? It just keeps reinventing itself in so many different funky fresh ways. Case in point? Today’s modern meets glamorous disco wedding inspiration in Portland, Oregon! Lauren Miles Photography teamed up with event designer, Sea of Roses, to create this modern and unconventional wedding inspiration at The Bindery…and we are head over heels for all the irresistible iridescent details! We’re talking brilliant pops of mustard (shout-out to the ’70s!) and a plethora of shimmering goodies.
Lauren tells us: I think weddings should be fun and I dreamed up this disco-inspired wedding filled with fresh decoration ideas. Disco ball installations with wildflowers everywhere created the perfect party atmosphere. And what better way to set the mood for a groove than with a major dose of glam and glitz?
Let’s proceed to the party!
How we LOVE the glitter acrylic invitation and all the modern pieces Letters & Dust created to go with it (take a look at those leather + holographic name cards!).
Their Ensembles
We’ve been seeing tons of yellow hues on GWS lately, and we are all about it! So a mustard suit for the groom from The Black Tux? Yes, yes, yes!
Isn’t that lace long sleeve gown from Elizabeth Dye a ’70s-inspired DREAM?
So cool.
Sea of Roses created a, well, sea of roses! How gorgeous is this spray of blooms?
The Ceremony Space
Talk about iridescent MAGIC!!
How would you like to boogey with this sort of backdrop?!
The Tablescape
For the tablescape, it was all about bringing in iridescent accents and layering those pretty pink hues…with disco balls as accents, of course!
CUTIES!
Doesn’t the bride look like a disco queen with her waves for days—courtesy of Cate Norman, and natural yet striking makeup by Kiss and Makeup Artistry?
Can’t get over how epic that backdrop is!!
The Details
Tying in the acrylic from the invitation suite, Letters & Dust added in these adorable boxes, framed by florals.
The yellow square cake with silver leafing from Dream Cakes complemented the round disco balls, with flowers popping out which added a playful touch.
How much fun was that? Can’t get enough of the disco vibes? Check out this groovy clip from Gavin Brown Media:
