Did you hear? At the beginning of January, BRICK in San Diego played host to the most amazing bridal show… of the century! Yup, Modern Love Group gathered all of the most talented people in the wedding industry and they all worked their magic for The Modern Love Event. We’re not talking about your average bridal show, rather a giant extravaganza of insanely talented vendors + creatives — from florists and calligraphers, to event designers and planners, and even gowns + accessories for the guys.
Essentially it was Pinterest-worthy wedding planning, in one giant room (but BETTER)! Everyone was dazzled by an array of live demos, delicious treats, custom cocktails, and a slew of other genius ideas. We even had our own space to show off our Lovers Society x GWS gowns, along with our GWS x Neck and Tie Co. floral ties + bow ties!
Now, for those of you that couldn’t make it out to San Diego, we’re dishing all the details here today! Prepare to be inspired…

How dreamy is our lounge?! This is where we hung out all day and shared our dresses – both our wedding dresses and bridesmaids dresses (yep, that is our latest print — Wedding Bells — with Show Me Your Mumu in the back!)
The design and rentals (and that crazy rad black + gold dip dyed rope above!) were all thanks to Pow Wow. And those gorgeous florals? Those are by Layered Vintage :) And all our ladies were decked out in the prettiest jewelry by Marrow!
I spy our Lovers Society x Green Wedding Shoes gowns! Utterly enchanting, right?! From left to right: Phoenix, Drew, and the Riley
Gorgeous makeup thanks to Jessie Steingard and stunning hair by Salon Bordeaux
Which one is your fave? We’re a bit biased… but we seriously can’t pick! We love them all!
He says, “Coffee.” She says, “Ice cream.” And that’s when you meet in the middle for an affogato!
We’re all about these looks from the Dress Theory! Pampas grass + neutral florals? Yes, please.
How gorgeous is that geometric + metallic hanging installation?! Can you imagine it outside with the sun bouncing off? So cool!
The table and lounge area above were crafted by The Joy Parade, while all those florals we’ve been obsessing over were crafted by Rooted Florals!

Bring on the custom cocktails!
Mixing in mauve and dark purple tones, boldhouse created one ultra-modern lounge, replete with glorious blooms from Joy of Blooms! To top the table off + give it that finishing touch, ceramics by Ren Vois were added.
How we adore sweeping florals… especially those draping down the back of chairs!
Pantone’s Color of the Year is Ultra Violet and we’re feeling all of the purple vibes in this tablescape designed by Kelsey Rae Designs, with florals from BLOOMS by Breesa Lee.
Hold the PHONE. How cool are these splattered cakes by Jenny Wenny Cakes? Just enough to make an edgy statement, but still refined + luxe. Dig it!
We can’t get over that “You are Loved” banner!
Highlighting a sort of antique feeling with neutral and blush tones, Luna Wild Design Co’s tablescape was perfectly complemented with bold florals in jewel tones from Native Poppy.
A cheese platter from Smoke and Brine mixed with a seating chart? Oh, you already know we’re ALL over this!
Cotton candy dreams come true thanks to Perfectly Poised and Bespoke!
And actual cotton candy from Sugar Bouffant. Yum!
Yes, that is our Lovers Society x Green Wedding Shoes Phoenix gown hanging out in a cotton candy cloud. :)

His + hers! For those that are having a difficult time deciding on theme + color palette, we love the way Amorology addressed the issue in a creative way.
Dahlias for days — courtesy of Layered Vintage!
Dusty rose, blush, peach, clay… All those sweet neutral tones give us serious butterflies (in the best way possible!)
Macarons, mini donuts, truffles, brownie bites, and sugar cookies thanks to Hey There Cupcake … What more could you want?!
Modern signage with a slightly Art Nouveau twist — too cool!
Marsh mallow desserts from Mallow Mallow = The Ultimate Treat
How delicious does this spread from Root Cellar look?

We told you — this was not a normal bridal show by any means! But would you expect any less from something we’re involved in? You know how much we adore all things creative + unique! And word on the street is that they are bringing The Modern Love Event to Nashville later this year!! If you are a wedding artist in Nashville and interested, be sure to reach out!
We hope you’re feeling inspired and ready to tackle wedding + event planning — with a unique touch. Happy planning, friends!
