Nicole + Zach married at Casa Feliz in Winter Park, a historic Spanish farmhouse venue with unique architectural charm—an important value to Nicole, an architectural designer. With planning by Sassy a La Mode, the day came together with a natural elegance! Here’s what Nicole had to tell us about the inspiration behind the day:
Our inspiration was simple really, we wanted to be surrounded by the trees and by nature. They have seen it all, they have seen generations of love endure and falter. On our special day, we sought after their quiet knowledge. We stood by a large sprawling oak and vowed to love each other with the support of our dearest family and friends. It was thoughtful, yet whimsical day mixed with moments of greenery, brass, white and wood details.

The week before your wedding, try not to stress about the things you haven’t planned for. At that point, you have done the best you can with regards to prep work. Now, it’s time to enjoy and savor the moments before the wedding. Moments between you and your future husband should be cherished and celebrated - don’t let tiny details about flowers or place cards distract you from what your wedding day is truly about.
The Reception
The modern farm tables + brass decor was the perfect mix of old and new, together the historic venue.
There were so many, but the one that stands out the most for me and my husband was our first dance. We were together 9 years prior to getting married and ‘True Companion’ has been about of our history as a couple. Not only did we get to dance our song in front of our family and friends, but at the end of our wedding, after everyone had left, our DJ played the song again just for the two of us. She wanted to make sure we truly soaked in and reveled in the moment.
