Kelly + Jake’s wedding day took place at the iconic Atlanta History Center, a stunning backdrop for a modern, eclectic wedding to come to life. Inspired by nature and earth-tone wedding colors, Kelly + Jake collaborated with Drake Social and stylist Taylor Dawn who helped curate a bohemian, artistic West-coast ambiance paired with refined, thoughtfully curated details. Kelly shared how they really truly made the design reflect them as a pair:
Jake and I kept most details of the wedding to ourselves during planning. We didn’t seek advice from friends/family so it was a very personal experience for both of us! We had an intimate elopement in Vegas in 2019 and knew that this event would be the complete opposite. Since we were already married, the excitement and nerves around the idea of being married did not exist. We felt like we were truly able to enjoy the company of friends and family even more!
Let’s have a look at the photos by Jessica Gold Photography!
And just like that, we are already utterly undone by these earthy colors in Written Word Calligraphy‘s invitation suite!
Half-Moon Floral Arch
The gorgeous floral backdrop was brought to life by Amanda Jewel.
Bride in Berta
Kelly wore a beautiful Berta gown with cascading floral appliques.
A First Look to Remember
The first look. Jake is NOT emotional and I could count on one hand the number of times he's cried in the 4 years I've known him. He could not hold back the tears and it is a moment we will never ever forget. So raw, real, and personal. On such a busy, crazy day, it was a great way to ground us to the why behind it all!

How insanely romantic is this venue?!
Earth-Tone Wedding Reception
Take a closer look at that table and please appreciate the ombré floral arrangements!
Overhead, rattan lamps created an intimate ambiance for the wedding party to enjoy their dinner.
The Estate Table displayed a totally rad hand-painted acrylic art piece as the backdrop running along the entire length of the table! Here’s a fun acrylic name card DIY that would totally fit this vibe!
The colors and textures here — STUNNING.
Organic blooms everywhere and this earthy centerpiece might just be a favorite!
Guests sat down to hand-painted and calligraphed terracotta place cards on custom acrylic chargers.
Understanding this is no easy task: I simply could not have done it without my wedding planner, Courtney from Drake Social.
You cannot be expected to know everything there is to plan. Having someone whose full-time job is to make your dream wedding into a reality makes it all that much easier.
Stay strong in your own ideas. To me, a timeless wedding is not the goal. This really is one of the only times you can show off your personality and personal style to all your family and friends, embrace it!

When we say there were blooms everywhere, we mean it! Even the stage was framed by organic florals.
