We love a good sneak peek, but today’s stunning feature really is so much more than that! It’s the result of a friendly styling competition called #14daysofsweethearts, hosted by our girl Maggie from Maggpie Rentals. For the competition, some truly talented Philadelphia creatives dreamt up and executed their best sweetheart table design. Today, we’re giving you a closer look at the table + gorgeous setting Corinne of Sebesta Design came up with, and tomorrow, we’ll be sharing all of the fun ‘scapes in one pretty V-day post! Corinne tells us more about her vision below:
When Marisa from Redfield Photography asked if I wanted to team up to create a sweetheart table design for Maggpie Vintage’s 14 days of Sweethearts competition, there was no hesitation. My original idea was to create a modern flower wall front for the table, but I really wanted to get some depth to the piece and allow it have a three dimensional quality. Because I was able to use Maggpie’s Lincoln Copper Chairs, I wanted to work copper into the rest of the décor design as well.
Corinne also designed the beautiful florals. And the modern suite below, created by Miss Merkle Design – with calligraphy by Meant To Be Calligraphy – was another great touch!
Corinne scored the most perfect copper detailed dress for the shoot – The Lovely One Collection’s “Catherine” dress from Lovely Bride. We are so in love with it too!
Because copper is so bright I felt like it needed to recede into the background in order to be less intense. Combining my desire for a three dimensional design as well as recede the copper, the shelf system was born. The shelf design was to fill the entire front and have varying compartments to showcase flowers, candles and copper. Each individual nook was it’s own little design that played together to create a whole picture. I wanted the person looking at it to continually look through the piece and find something new, like viewing a miniature gallery.
And forever one of our favorite backdrops, Terrain in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, really set the stage for Corinne’s stunning design. A big thanks to the team below for sharing and don’t forget to stop by tomorrow morning for a look at the rest of the fun sweetheart tables that were a part of the #14daysofsweethearts project!
