“Color is a power which directly influences the soul.” – Wassily Kandinsky. Especially in times like these, we welcome wonderful, bright colors to liven up our souls! Color speaks to us in many different ways, color gives us hope, light + positivity. When the world is gray, when life gets dark, we can always count on color to brighten our spirits. Who’s ready for some color-blocking?
Sometimes, brides fear color because they want a romantic + neutral color scheme. Naomi from Bowties & Bouquets wanted to introduce color in a romantic + whimsical way, and shared: the goal of this shoot was to show that there is no fear when designing in color. I want to express color in a beautiful and romantic way that brides could draw inspiration from.
Beautiful, Bright Details
Marigold suede sandals that might be a wedding day must-have!
A Modern Bride
Ooh modern bride! This sleek, sheath Maggie Sottero ‘Claudia Dawn’ gown has classic lines and a simplistic design. When you accentuate a bride’s natural beauty, it’s a big win!
The beautiful florals, designed by Urban Marigold, are so bold and colorful! We love the few non-traditional blooms thrown in. And high fives for foam free floral designs, keeping this editorial inspiring + eco-friendly!
Color-Blocking Ceremony Backdrop
DIY project ahead (and, clearly, well worth it): color-blocking display of streamers from Paper Mart. This gorgeous and whimsical ceremony moment if so playful, and works well with the colorful floral designs.
If you like this ceremony backdrop, you’ll love our dyed fabric DIY project!
Stylish grooms always steal our hearts! This guy rocks a rad mauve suit from Friar Tux.
Wow – this yellow cushion diamond from Brilliant Earth is on fire!
Kaleidoscopic Wedding Reception
We love a tablescape that is rich in detail but tells a story, and all of this color shows exactly what the design is in a luxurious, fun way.
OK, these citrus details are everything! Each place setting has a different citrus slice paired with its place card. It’s unique + delightful.
Surrounded By Sweet, Sweet Color
It has color, it has art + it has character! This cake by Half Baked Co is a three-tiered color swatch cake. The end result is so gorgeous – and somehow pulls in every cool color from this wedding styling: yellow, orange, pink, mauve + blue.
