From the very first brainstorm, today’s super-fun modern boho wedding inspiration was about pulling together aspects of different trends that everyone loves so much — both new and old. The Byre at Cambium Farms was the perfect location that was both rustic and modern with exposed brick walls and overhead beams that counterbalanced with the poured concrete floor. The industrial edge set the stage for the warm boho aesthetic to follow. But beyond all the stunning decor, it’s the couple who truly brought the day to life!
We wanted to turn things upside down by working with a real couple that completely threw the notions of gender roles and traditions out of the window. It was important to us to celebrate that love is love + that we’re all unique and beautiful! With James + Josh (a real couple) in front of the lens, that came easy! Their connection + electric personalities really shine through and we completely stan these two!

The Modern Boho Wedding Aesthetic

For the ceremony space, dried florals arranged by Full Vase Decor and a macrame piece by Macremel knotted at the end were used to symbolize both the preservation of their relationship and unity as they moved forward as one.

Instead of a traditional dinner set up, the team chose to go with a low table, rugs, and pillows to sit on for a cozy, chilled out + romantic vibe!
The tabletop was set with unique pieces from Splendid Settings alongside place cards by Cris Okihiro.
Yes — this is a cake! Specifically, a half-moon cake for two designed by Hello Sugar. So cute, right?
